Organic Vanilla Bean Paste with Seeds, 1.7oz Tube

Delicious and great for my iced coffee!

I am planning a two part teaching kids to cook mini-series: "How to make naturally flavored, butter cream icings" and "how to make mini-cupcakes". The target audience is an pair of 11 year olds. On the first day, we will make a recipe of Butter Cream icing and flavor different cups of it with vanilla, strawberry, cherry, and peach. The second say is putting dollops of it on (and in) mini-cupcakes. When I was coming up with the event, Taylor and Colledge vanilla came immediately to mind. This is simply the best vanilla flavor short of slicing a bean and scraping out the goodness. The tube is small but that is a reasonable size to keep the smell and taste on point. It is a bit more expensive that the chemicals sold as imitation flavor but is less expensive than buying beans. The texture is more concentrated vanilla than a paste and the tube stands on end and doesn't leak.

I use this in my Ninja Creami recipes. It gives the ice cream a rich vanilla flavor and is the next best thing to using whole vanilla beans. It also mixes in easily.

Purchased for flavoring macaron batter. This is a nice gel form that doesn’t affect the macaron batter - and adds nice flavor to the almond flour macaron shells. All the recipes say to be careful added liquid flavoring as it can change the texture or proper macaronage of the batter. So I bought this and it’s been a perfect fit.

This product was nice in the sense that it did smell and look like vanilla, but sadly, that was about it. It added the nice flecks of vanilla bean that I wanted at a much more affordable price than actual beans, but sadly I still ended up having to use vanilla extract to get the flavor I wanted out of my cake. I wish it had more actual flavor, but for the price I paid I was not entirely surprised. If you are interested purely in getting that vanilla bean look on a budget, then this product is great! However, if you are wanting the rich, vanilla flavor you get when using real beans, look elsewhere.
