Great thermostat, awful manual.
I bought this to be used with my 4000 watt Cadet in wall fan heater so that I could have a thermostat on the wall, not on the heater itself. Hard to find digital thermostats that can handle this many watts (even Cadet doesn't seem to sell on).At first I thought this thermostat was going to drive me crazy. When the temperature in the room is close to the set temperature, it will turn the heater on and off continually to maintain heat. This would be GREAT with a baseboard heater, but with a fan heater you hear the thing come on and off, several times in a minute! But once I was able to focus and read the manual (see below), there was a "fan" setting that causes fan (heat) not to cycle any more often than 90 to 300 seconds (you program). And even then, if the room temperature is off by more than 2 degrees than the set temperature, the delay is overridden. So at 300 seconds, for example, on a cold day you would have at most a 2 degree flux in temperature... which is by most mechanical thermostats, quite accurate. My sense in installing this thermostat is that it is very solid and well designed. It also has the ability to set a night time mode, and how many hours you want it in the night time mode. So there is no clock to set, just understand that x hours after you set it to night time temperature it will return to day time temperature. It also has a lockout feature that allows you to set the maximum the heat can be set to. In our case, being in a motel room, this is helpful so that a guest doesn't leave the temperature set to 90 degrees. Really, why does anyone need it warmer than 75 anyway. What is NOT well designed is the manual. It is literally the size of 6 point print produced from my printer. It almost hurts to read the print. This is the second such manual I have received of late and I just don't understand why a companies are trying to save money on ink and paper! Yes, it makes a nice size manual that fits inside of the box, but very, very hard to read.Fortunately, the company maintains pdf copies of the manuals on their website... same exact manual, but of course I am able to widen it to the width of my screen, or print it larger, and that helps.

quick and easy installation
This is an initial review (day one of use), so I may update this. After the quick and easy installation, it took me most of the afternoon to figure out how to fix the frequent cycling of fan/heat when temp is nearing set point. You can activate the fan icon which will keep the fan on for a default of 90 seconds (if I recall correctly), but longer if needed, up to 300 seconds I believe. When switched on (with fan icon showing), the unit will simply come on (heat and fan) when nearing set point and not rapid cycle like before, so the shortest noticeable run time at that point would be 90 seconds vs 1 or less seconds, which was a bit alarming. I will keep an eye on things and see if this "fan on" setting truly solves the problem. Beyond that problem, which was not mentioned in trouble shooting section of user manual, I would point to the manual as being too brief on descriptions of how to do things and the result one should expect. All that said, it does appear to be very well made, attractive, back lighted in a dim blue hue, and can be used to lower night time set point automatically, if needed. For the money, it appears quite good and easily comparable to Honeywell's offerings. Would rate it higher if the manual were more thorough, because the lack of critical info cost me hours of time trying to find a solution to what is evidently a common characteristic of this device. I have upgraded rating to 5 stars because these are working very well and a tech rep called me from Canada to answer a minor question, so I would call that excellent service!!

Great while it lasted
Purchased this in 2016 since it was the only thermostat I could find that handles up to 4000W for in-line fan-forced electric heaters. Today (6/21/2018) started to overheat and the temp reads 84 degrees (currently it is only 72). Our house has 8 thermostats connected to fan-forced electric heaters. We replaced them all at the same time and this is the only one that has gone out. The rest are a different brand since they did not require 4000W.Other reviews are correct. Instructions are not great and it's a little difficult to get through the menus. There is another brand that makes 4000W in-line thermostats now, too. I will be given them a try.

This is the one for line voltage wall heaters
There are not many digital thermostats available for line voltage wall heaters and even less that can handle two heaters. This one workedgreat for my application.

This unit is working well for us. Much better than the inaccurate old style bimetal thermostat that we had been using. Maintains a steady set point temperature. If you are using it with a wall mount fan forced heater be sure to turn the fan function on, it will cycle on and off continuously without it.

ok screen goes out sometimes
Over the last year occasionally the screen goes blank and you dont know what the temp is or what you have it set at and then it would come back on. This has happened about 10 times in the year I have had it. Otherwise good buy.

Finally
Finally a thermostat that can handle over 2,000 w at 120 volts that has an accurate thermostat that maintains the rooms temperature. Easy to use and install. I can't believe how long it took me to find one of these.
