Strong, sturdy with built in lock opening notification.
I got the green lock because I wanted a bright color to stand out on my luggage. This lock has enough weight that I feel it is not flimsy and is sturdy and strong. I am not able to 'muscle' the lock open which is great. Changing the code from the default 000 is easy to do and is written well in the instructions. I particularly like the fact that the numbers for your code go into a channel on the side and I don't have to try to match up numbers under an arrow. Also a nice feature is that if and when TSA opens my luggage there will be a red button that pops up to indicate the lock had been opened with a key- they also cannot depress the button to hide that it was opened. The only way to 'reset' the button is to use your code to open the lock. Nifty safety feature! I have a trip planned in the near future and I am definitely planning on using this on my luggage! Good Padlock - Bad TSA
So much for safe and secure. The padlock was just as advertised. I have no complaints about the padlock or the seller as they fulfilled their promise on packaging, shipping and the quality of item.However, TSA removed the padlock to search my luggage and never put the padlock on my luggage. This was the first time I used it and when I arrived at my destination, no padlock. Yes, they are not suppose to be able to remove their key until the padlock has been re-secured, but that doesn't mean it has to be on your luggage.

Smart Travel Gadget Lock is Very Smart!
I just returned home from a trip to DFW and used my new lock for the first time. I love it! It comes with very simple instructions; looks great on my suitcase and works perfectly. The best feature is the "indicator pole." The pole is in a hidden position unless TSA inspectors opens the lock with their specific access tool. When I arrived in Dallas, I noticed the indicator was raised. When I opened the lock, the pole returned to its hidden position. Inside my suitcase, I found a notice of bag inspection from the TSA. Very cool! I like the extra security of having my suitcase locked while being in compliance with TSA regulations. Highly recommended.

Sturdy and easy to use
I ordered this for my mom who was traveling to the US from Europe. It was sturdy, easy to reset a personal code, and relatively attractive. It gave mom peace of mind and she had no trouble using it at all.It just took her a minute to figure out which set of numbers to look at. The number barrels are easy to turn. If someone really wanted to get into her suitcase I don't know if this would stop them. But it certainly is a great deterrent, which is what we need when traveling. I now plan on ordering one for me too.

nice! several features that i like!
here's what i like about this lock: 1, for setting my own code, i just need to turn 90 degree and press, no pencil or pen or a stylus is needed for poking some hidden button; and 2, the TSA search alert feature, where the little red pole would come out if TSA ever opened my luggage. there's a few annoying things though, the slightly loose and jiggling U shape metal piece makes it a bit low-quality like.

Works Perfectly Including the Search Indicator
This is a high quality lock. It fit perfectly on my luggage and the combination wheels are easy to turn. I was able to set the combination to my choice following the easy to use directions. My luggage did get searched and the indicator worked perfectly. I knew TSA had been in my bag before I even opened it. I am very happy with this lock and I highly recommend it.

Good looking sturdy lock
Nice lock. Easy to set combination - product description was very accurate. Very nice size - easy to read numbers/ Like the search alert indicator. On our last trip with a TSA lock, they just cut the lock off and discarded it and left a note that my suitcase had been chosen for inspection. Hope it does not happen again.

Nice TSA lock
Wasn't able to verify the search alert feature. In addition, it wasn't clear if TSA can reset the search alert feature or not.Other than that, the lock work properly and works as expected.
