Dyson Battery for V7 Units, Part No. 968670-06

Works great for my Dyson handheld. I was happy to get this battery because I originally thought my vacuum was done with.

The price seems high on this unit. We (me & my wife) have had two Dyson units for a long time and have tried the cheaper battery replacements. They are much cheaper for sure. But they just don't work. If you want to complicate your life with needless aggravation, save a few bucks with the knock-offs. If you just want your vacuum to work for a long time, get these.

My Dyson V7 fluffy was not very old when the battery died, which I know is not uncommon. I couldn’t justify the cost a replacement when the vacuum wasn’t that old so I decided to try a replacement battery. The Dyson site has been out for ages so I finally decided to try to get the OEM battery here. It appears to be the real thing. There are a lot of tiny details that lead me to believe it is. It was easy to install. Just a couple screws. Once it was charged it felt like my vacuum was new again. I was getting like 15 seconds of turbo or a few minutes of regular with the almost dead battery. I am now able to do a quick run of my small apartment on turbo just like when it was new. I haven’t stopped to time exactly how long it lasts but it has felt sufficient compared to the charge it held when the vacuum was new. I’m glad I took a gamble on this battery. I can’t speak to longevity but I hope to get more life out of my Dyson with this battery.

Dyson cordless vacs are pretty good.... when they work. Batteries frequently die. I called Dyson direct to get a battery replacement. Was told it was out of stock and they had no answer regarding how long I would need to wait for a replacement. Got off the phone with Dyson and went to Amazon. Ordered the battery I needed. Got it the next day. And it works fine.

HORRIBLE! I bought this "real" (not knock off) Dyson battery for our second home. Used it May 2025- September 2025, came back this May 2026, and the battery is dead! Awful product!!!

I've tried the cheaper replacement batteries and they are worthless and never fit the charger properly. So, I bit the bullet and ordered this one and it fits like a dream and it charges. It's easy to install too and if you have any trouble just look for a video to help you. I only gave it 4 stars because, like most batteries today, they don't last very long- a year, maybe 2? I know this one won't last as long as it SHOULD. I grew up in a time when a battery would last several years. Heck, even the battery in my Timex would last several years.

So far this has solved the charging issue with our V7 Dyson sweeper. Only had it for a week or so, but it has held a charge far longer than the old battery did. A little pricey, but beats buying a new sweeper.

Do not buy a cheap clone battery for your Dyson. This might cost more, but it will maintain its charge for a couple of years instead of a couple of months.

No se confundan, viene con un instructivo de Dyson a color, pero la batería no es de Dyson (ver foto). Es la segunda vez que cambio la batería de mi V7. La primera vez me costó la mitad de precio y me duró 1 año y medio. Tb tenía escrito atrás que es para V7. Espero que ésta me dure más que la anterior. Actualizaré mi comentario si no es el caso. Por ahora al 12 de mayo 2024, todo funciona muy bien 🙏
