All around Good Mitt
Very interesting gear. Good for doing mitt work and landing a quick punch when the student drops their guard. Also good with combos on strikes and blocks. Large enough to handle some kicks and knees. Currently use them x3 times a week at a min 30mins of mitt work. We have used all types of gloves on them from Boxing to MMA style. The side strap tend to move BUT this doesn't greatly effect them or their use. The Leather has flaked off from the inside. Again have not seen any real bad effect from this. I would recommend this mitt for just about every combat sport.

Torn strap
I use these for Muay Thai where we often use focus mitts for both punches and kicks. After a few kicks the strap that's sewn to the leather tore from the leather. They sent a replacement but we won't use these for kicks - so they might be fine as long as you stick with boxing.
