Good and lasts a long time
I lift weights a few times a week. Since I do it at home, I have the luxury of using chalk. The difference in grip is substantial.I usually crumble up half a block of chalk into a 5 gallon bucket that I keep near my weights. That way I can dust my hands with powder OR use the remaining block of chalk depending on my needs. This chalk crumbles easily into a very fine powder, which is good. Because it's so fine, you can really pack it onto your skin and it stays put. I typically apply it at the beginning of my warmup sets and only reapply for heavy working sets. A pound lasts a LONG time (a couple of years for me). If I'm squatting heavy I will also rub some on my shirt where the bar goes, which makes the bar less likely to slip if my form starts to erode as I get tired.I use a Texas Power barbell which has a really aggressive knurl. It can turn your hands into hamburger, especially on deadlifts so I sometimes rub a block of chalk across the bar and pack the knurl with chalk powder. This still gives good grip but keeps the bar from chewing my hands up too badly. A brass brush cleans everything back up without scratching the bar or dulling the knurl.I've used chalk alternatives like Liquid Chalk before. If I were still training in a gym that didn't allow actual chalk, I would definitely use the Liquid Chalk. However, real chalk gives more grip and is more versatile. I strongly recommend using it for weightlifting if you can.

Best chalk for climbing
I've been using this chalk for many years for climbing (and gymnastics before that) and it's simply the best for people who like block/chunky chalk, it is the complete opposite to many chalks which (to me) feel like putting baby powder on your hands. On top of that it's one of the most affordable options. I use quite a lot of chalk and each of these 1 lb boxes lasts me around 5-7 months.

Best chalk I've used so far
Other than this one, I've used Friction Chalk and couple other brands I can't remember. This has the best feel to it. I've found Friction Chalk to have a silky feel but all this one does is dry out the moisture.

Simple and effective
I use it for rock climbing. It’s basic chalk and works as expected. Great value.

Best chalk for climbing, period
I've been rock climbing for over 40 years now and I've seen a lot of products come and go, but Endo block chalk has stood the test of time and is still my favorite chalk by far. Most of these modern chalks are too drying and too slippery and do little to improve grip. Endo chalk is "grippy" and I like that I have to break it down as it helps get the chalk into my skin for more solid grip.
