I Spy an Egg in a Nest (Scholastic Reader, Level 1)

Love that these take eye spy classics and scale them down for young kids. My 2.5 year old daughter LOVES these books! While she can’t actually read them independently she talks about the pictures she sees. We spend a lot of time just soaking up the details on each page and developing her language skills! Awesome book!

I have a 3.5 year old who thought this was so cool- the first time through. But, she was able to quickly memorize where everything is. So, I would recommend getting a higher level for a child in this age range.

My daughter got an I SPY book randomly a while back and it quickly became her favorite book. I bought her a few more for Christmas and she was very excited! I like that they have the picture displayed next to the word of what you're supposed to be finding, so it makes it a little easier for her to know what she's looking for. She can also do them easily on her own! This one is a little too easy for her though, compared to some other ones we have, so I gave it 4 stars for that reason. Still a fun book for her.

All of the I-Spy books are great, but these Level 1 books are great for teaching matching skills to youngsters. The pictures are depicted just like they are found on the following page so that the kids can find them easily. Then, for older kids just learning to read, they can play I-spy matching words or letters based on the previously identified objects in the book. So when the kid advances to the next level, the book has a whole new challenge level waiting for them. I also like to play I-spy with the kids by picking out other items for them to find. It lengthens the book and you get your money's worth.

Perfect challanging, yet fun book for my 2.5 year old. He loves doing his "we spy" books with me or by himself.

I bought this for my nephews 4th birthday. It is a thin book, but perfect for this age. I know it will keep him entertained. Color and quality is great!

The children for whom I purchased the five "I Spy..." books absolutely Loved them! Keeps them occupied and out of their Mom's way long enough for her to get various tasks done. They share and go back to these books periodically to repeat the fun of finding the items on the pages.

These little I Spy books are so adorable, and perfect for my three year old daughter.

My boys, ages 2&4 loved these books. Would highly recommend for young children as it really helps develop their observation skills.
