So far, at least comparable to the original battery
Battery arrived from Lexington Kentucky, Double Boxed, in big plastic bubbles with a foam-lined box inside the outer box, inside a sealed anti-static bag, further sealed inside another sealed plastic envelope. With two screwdrivers. Yellow handle 00 phillips head for opening the bottom cover and a red-handled tri-point special screw driver for the two battery mounting screws. The bottom cover has three different size/type screws so you should very carefully lay them out in the same hole pattern and not just lump them all together in a pile -- four across the top, four across the bottom and one on each side so you can put each screw back in exactly the same hole they came out of. You have to look carefully to see that some of the small screws are shouldered and some not. Mixing them will not be the cause of any permanent damage or problem, but still, I think should be put back as they came. I've done this before, intuitive (easy), not requiring special instructions except that the battery power cable should be carefully lifted straight up. Can be done with slight side to side upward lift using two finger's fingernails or... whatever. Battery holes line up perfectly -- Easy Peasy. Looking up About this Mac. (The Big Apple in the Upper left of the screen). System Report -- Power -- the max charge is 6592, best I've ever seen. It came 75% charged. I maintained it fully charged for a few hours, then holding Option key rebooted into the Startup screen and just left it there to fully discharge. I charged it again fully and 2 hrs + use gets me down to 75% battery. That's as good as or better than my original 2011 MacBook Pro Battery. Charge-discharge-charge cycle should be repeated 3 times. Power also now correctly shows cycle 3. My original battery lasted for almost 600 cycles. Excellent! Only time will tell the longevity of this battery, but at this time I am hopeful it will give good service life and would heartily recommend. Important because there must be 100 vendors for these batteries and they all seem to be alike, but reviews show a wide variance. So far very pleased with price/performance of this vendor's battery. It's possible it could fail without much use. If it does within 3 months I will amend this review.Walter O.

Easy install, old batteries
I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro. I've been through 2 batteries, the original and a replacement I got and installed from a local computer repair store. 5 years ago, I paid over $150.00 for the battery plus labor. This go round, I decided to install it myself. The reviews for this battery were good, so I decided to give it a try.Delivery was fast and installation a breeze. It fired up with about 60% charge. I plugged it in and charged it to 100%.Initially, the Amp hours were above the maximum OEM rating. But after just 2 charges, the value has dropped. I now have 5 charges and the max battery percentage is 96%.These are old batteries that have been sitting many years and will show their age quickly. The price is cheap, but you get what you pay for.Shame.

Good.
My old mac pro mid 2012 was needed to change the battery. I use this laptop to work with phone. Im a phone technician. So i always use my laptop. The battery came well packaged. The battery seems to work perfect. The system is saying that the cycle is 1 so the battery is new. So far so good.

Deceiving Battery
Bought this thing on August 10, 2020. Ran one full cycle through it and after initial full charge was showing great battery health at 103%!! Showing capacity of over 6500 mAH, which is higher than the rated 6400 mAh. Now at around day 35 with 10 cycles on the batter, starting to get random power offs, once at 20%, another around 48%, and just last night at 68%. Every time these happened I plug the laptop in and it shows the batter was at 0%. Now with 12 cycles on the batter at day 40 battery health has dropped to 99%. Really had high hopes for this battery initially because it showed great stats like manufacturer date was only a few months old compared to some other cheaper batteries and also the weight of it was very close to the OEM that was in the laptop. But like the other 1 star reviews this battery is deceptive. Will perform great when new but right around the amazon 30 days return period it starts to fail. So far no response from seller either.

Satisfactory 3rd Party Battery Replacement for 2012 Apple MacBook Pro
Very nice packaging. The battery came with two small screw drivers to help with installation. Charged my old Apple MacBook Pro 15” mid 2012 model well, and the MacBook reports the battery health as ‘normal’. Seems to hold charge as well as an old laptop can expect. As an FYI, there is a great installation video on YouTube from OWC which helps. Took 10 mins to install.

Fit Perfectly, Capacity Better Than New
The fit and finish of this battery is just about spot on with the OEM Apple battery, screws align perfectly, and it's neither too tight or loose in the battery compartment of the MacBook Pro.The charge, as shown in Coconut Battery, rates at more mAh than factory. This is the most important thing I look for, as some of the cheaper MacBook batteries come out of the box at way below the design capacity. Get this app when you buy a new Mac battery; it will let you know if you got a good one or not. This one is a keeper, as it comes in at better than new capacity. You get what you pay for with replacement MacBook batteries. This one is worth it.
