this is truly an amazing thing! I never write reviews, but I had to for this. I have a waterless toilet in my tiny house and the toilet has to be vented. The only way I could do so was to vent it out the front and up - and it had a constant odor coming from all the pipes from the beginning all the way to the top. flies would hover around it and that combined with the odor just meant that we couldn’t even sit out in the front yard at all. I saw this advertised so I thought I’d give it a try. I purchased just the bag. I took the 3 inch pipe apart that comes out from the front of the house and I just slid this right inside the pipe, put the pipe back together.... AND NOW after just the first few days, the ODOR is GONE! it is truly unbelievable! I don’t care if the filter lasts a year or a few months... I’m going to get a dozen and have them on hand!

Like the title says this works perfectly at removing the smell but if you live in a very cold climate these bags can freeze solid and block your air vent. I live in MA and I made it through the first winter without any issues but the second winter the bottom portion froze solid blocking my air vent which causes problems when you flush a toilet. I had to hire a roofer to get on a snow covered roof at the time of failure to remove it. The bag was 2.5 years old and I planned to replace in the spring but the freeze beat me to it. Maybe it would be a good idea to remove it in the Fall. Happy with my purchase just be aware of the freeze risk.

These charcoal bags work perfectly with our sewer vent. It prevents odors from drifting down from the vent on the roof. They're easy to install and well worth the money. We've been using these for about 20 years.

If you have any septic gas issues, this is the hog for you!

This product definitely does eliminate the odor completely. Clear instructions and very easy to install. This was my 3rd replacement bag from this company and the advertised time it should filter smells is for 2 years, however I started noticing the bad smell returning after 14 months or so both of the other times. It's a great value for the money even if they only last for a year. I'm a return customer and will continue to buy this product in the furure!

Used it for a septic vent in out back yard. The vent was near the pool and when it was windy we could smell the vent. We have a hooked pipe pointing downward so we installed the bag an add a fitting to hold the bag in. It was a drain grate so it could breath. WORKS PERFECT!
