Great value for money, all the features included. Works perfectly after a bit of troubleshooting.
I did quite a bit of research before opting for the M-Audio. I personally prefer the layout of the knobs on the top, as I don't need to reach down to figure out what is what. It lives on one side of my desk and I use it not only for recording, but as the main sound card for my PC. The 192-6 has two inputs which allow me to record vocals in stereo (coming off an effects pedal). Most importantly, it has a blend between direct monitoring and USB sound, to deal with any latency. It also has MIDI ports in case I need to hook up a MIDI keyboard/pad in the future. The quality and build are excellent. The only issue I faced was not getting any sound from my PC (e.g. playing mp3, YouTube, etc.), although I got the sound from the DAW. I found out that to fix this, I needed to select a sample rate of 48000 in the M-Audio applet. It might also be worthwhile to try different USB ports, and finally make sure you're not using any USB hubs, which can interfere with the memory allocation. Now, everything works perfectly. The 192-6 is hooked up to my desktop speakers through two TS>RCS cables as RCS are the only inputs on them. Although the 192-6 monitor outputs are TRS, this doesn't damage the interface, but you lose -6dB. In the future, I might invest in some proper studio monitors which have TRS and/or XLR inputs.Overall, the 192-6 offers more features compared to more expensive 2i2o interfaces, has very low noise and latency. Strongly recommended.

Excellent interface (with conflicts)
I love the look and feel of this interface, the build quality is top notch. I suffered from the audio stuttering as mentioned in other reviews - however I accidentally stumbled on a fix fir the issue. If I open iTunes and play any song for a few secs and the hit pause leaving the iTunes window open, I get no audio stuttering or any audio clicks, pops etc on any other audio source like YouTube, etcThis unit is obv suffering some sort of conflict with iTunes software somehow resolving the conflict - maybe iTunes is dictating the sample rate? I don’t know but whatever it is it works 100% as it should by using this method - I hope this helps others as I was beyond frustrated and on the verge of sending this unit back until I discovered this fix.Would like to know if it works for others too!?

Works with GarageBand
This is my first music interface. I bought this to use with an old iMac (2011) with Sierra iOS. I’m using GarageBand and an M-Audio Oxygen keyboard. This unit was easy to set up, iMac recognised it straight away. I’m recording drums through it as well and this too has been a breeze. The unit is nice and heavy (doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy) which is reassuring.Vet happy so far, I would recommend....!!

Very reasonable, great quality
I'm a fan of M-Audio interfaces, they always sound great.Headphones.First and for most, you'll need a headphone amp to get good sound levels with 250ohm headphones. The device is very slick and shiny looking. The big knob for volume control is really nice and all knobs feel solid and well made. The LED lights are hidden away until you power something which adds to the slickness. The single XLR port is at the back which is very handy because you limit the amount of wires coming from the front.Sound quality is really good and clear sounding and doesn't have any notable self noise. The build quality is metal with a glass looking plastic top.Very decent for the price, especially if you only need one instrument and one mic.

Lovely Big Knob for Volume Control
Bought this for ease of use, to control the volume level of speakers and having a decent size knob to grab when needed, I have to say it is very smooth to operate.the USB hub side is a bonus too, used a few times now works perfectly

Ok until it goes wrong
The quality seems quite good at first - sturdy construction and good quality feeling dials (I would probably give it 3 stars as loading the drivers was not that easy, and it seems to be a bit hit and miss working with Audacity). However, after 5 or 6 months or so, my unit started distorting my voice. No problem- just contact their support people? I would love to!Their support process seems to be to let me raise a ticket, then not answer, other than to give me notifications that say my ticket is being auto closed.-------Update - put from 1 star back to 3I finally got someone to answer my emails, and from that point they were very helpful and the item was returned via Amazon for a full refund. Did I buy a replacement from the same manufacturer? No. I need something that runs with Audacity without any issues, and is easy to set up.

Great for getting midi drums, keyboards and live vocals into my Mac using logic
I am very pleased with this little device. I no longer have a dedicated studio for composing and producing music so need to be able to quickly set something up in the dining room, connect to the keyboard we have set up there and make music. I also want to add vocals so audio/mdi was required. I use logic and a MacBook Pro and all it takes is about 2 or 3 minutes to set up and the same for packing away. I just plug in the midi lead from the keyboard, then the USB C lead to the Mac and some headphones. That is enough for programming drums and keyboards. If I do vocals as well that is just a case of plugging in the mic! It even has phantom power for a condenser mic! Sound quality is fantastic and it is simple to use. I love it! The only irritation, which isn't enough to knock a star off, is the USB C sometimes disconnects! It only seems to happen when I am changing settings, never during a recording, so it is no bother really and is easily fixed by pulling out the lead and reconnecting it.
