Finally some competition for photoshop
After reading great reviews of this software for a while now I took the plunge and bought the Pro 9 Elite Edition. Not sure why this is but there's a trend afoot with a lot of things like this to skimp on included instructions. You have to download PDF files and that's nothing new but even then you'll find yourself picking through youtube for answers to questions left unanswered by the manual. Then again this software does so much in so many different ways that a real manual would look like an unedited George R Martin novel and would probably come in five or six editions. Just remember that it only works with jpeg or RAW images and you should be fine. Love the results, very powerful tools that don't leave you with a pretty image that looks, well, photoshopped.

Dont waste your money
I really loved this product initially. I installed it on two different computers and enjoyed its ease of use. However it almost never works on either computer. Contacted customer support but they lack the skill to help me with their own product. They have you jump through hoops uploading logs to them but they then ignore you. Every week or so they pick some random solution that doesn't work and then ignore me for another week. Every day I check a different person is assigned to the problem yet they never answer. Save your money and buy Photoshop. I spent three hundred dollars for a program that lasted two months.

Faster not Better.
If you have Photoshop you don't need this. Has a quick way to reduce noise, more and the lighting feature is great. But all these features are in light room and Photoshop they might take longer to excite where its faster in dxo optics.

The Best Known Camera Software
Having used lightroom first and pushing the limits with a Nikon D800 has shown its strengths and weakness. I still use lightroom side by side with optics pro 9 but when I hit something where lightroom is unable to render properly, I just move to optics pro and it always renders the way I want it to look. Having film pack elite its just a remarkable software that I will always be learning.

A worthwhile add to my photo software library. Definitely ...
A worthwhile add to my photo software library. Definitely takes some time and effort to take advantage of all it has to offer.

Great Editing Software
I have been using photoshop for years. The DxO Labs 9 Elite Edition is fantastic. much easier than Photoshop or even Lightroom. I do export them into photoshop for use with my NIK software bundle.

Don't waste your money
I shoot a lot of stuff under pretty extreme conditions, and I shoot people a lot under such conditions.Maybe this product works well with things other than people; their demos, which I have seen, look amazing. my own results have been, at best, poor.I use both Capture One and Lightroom, and either of these will be far better than DxO Optics 9 Pro Elite (or, 10, which I just got, as well).I keep going back to DxO to give it another shot. I test it with files shot under less extreme conditions. I keep being sorely disappointed withn this product. I mean, my results have looked simply awful, and I can get good results on these files with either Lightroom or Capture One.I paid good money for this product, and I really want to like it. I just can't.I went to the PhotoPlus Expo, and talked to a DxO rep there. He invited me to bring one of my problem files for him to work on. I did. He worked on it. The results were just plain bad.Let me put it to you this way: He was working on this file on the show floor. When the output appeared, after all his tweaking, he suddenly just switched away, and began doing his show patter for all the people looking on. Many of them, however, had just witnessed a pretty major fail, and that fail was in ALL of the categories in which he claimed this product excels.I hate to say this, but the money I spent on DxO Optics Pro 9 would have been better spent on any number of products, or not spent at all. I cannot recommend this product.
