Chakra Chants, Vol. 2

I bought this CD as a follow up to Chakra Chants 1 which I absolutely love.The chants on this CD and Chakra Chants 1 are rolling and layered vocal sounds connected to each chakra center. For example, "uh", "eee", and "om"Chakra Chants 2 includes sounds in nature that correspond to each of the chakras as well, which is different than the first CD. The nature sounds do not continue through the duration of an entire chant. They are introduced at the beginning of each energy center or track on the CD for about 10-15 seconds.For me, the experience of this CD is that the way it is put together differently from Chakra Chants 1 results in deeper meditation. I normally steer away from the rainforest/creek, stream and bird noise type of music. This is NOT what this CD is. It has just a few elements, as mentioned, and the results for healing and balancing have been extraordinary.This CD has a deeper and heavier feel to it than Chakra Chants 1. It seems a bit like it is more intense or that it is doing healing work at a different emotional level than the first CD.I do go back and forth between using Chakra Chants 1 and Chakra Chants 2 to change it up. The intensity of this CD isn't something I'm always ready for, so I do recommend owning the first CD for more subtle balancing work. I feel that having both is a compliment to very thorough balancing.For any sound healing CD I do recommend closed stereo headphones. It is a different experience to meditate to this CD with earbuds, and different again than listening to it through speakers. There are very subtle and beautiful tones that flow through that seem like they can only be heard with the closed headphones on.

I have long admired Jonathan Goldman's sound healing music and books. During a recent long period of intense traumas in life, I was needing some help in keeping myself focused during meditation. I also wanted music that I could rest and listen to without meditation and have it help restore my calm and sense of perspective. I searched through Amazon's selections, read reviews and finally narrowed my choices down to four albums. I only received three, and this was by far the best. (Deepak Chopra's was never available to Amazon and I finally cancelled that part of the order, but Amazon did keep me informed about its status.) Goldman has pioneered much of sound healing and I don't know what is actually happening to my chakras as I listen to this album. But I do know that my body is responsive. Anxiety and holding myself tight begins to calm down as the music progresses and usually by the end of this relatively long CD, I am feeling relaxed, centered and restored even if I didn't meditate as it played. Listening to this has taken me outside of my mental yakyak loop and the tensions that my exogenous traumas have created. This CD did exactly what I was seeking when I selected it. The recording quality is very high, although my playing system in the house doesn't do it justice. To hear the full richness of all the harmonics I need to use my car sound system and lie down outside near the car's open doors. I imagine that listening to it on a better sound system inside a building would only make it richer. But then, being outside is often a beneficial experience as I have the earth beneath my body to ground me, the gentle breeze to cool me, and the singing birds and insects to help place me within the larger environment.

Like! as the tile say: Chants. It is not binaural, or brainwave entrainment that I have experienced. Maybe if I listoned more, it would.

I purchased this album at the same time I got Chakra Chants 1. I like this one better, but they're both good.

Frequencies are clear and strike the attended chakra.

I love this CD...except for the track for the 6th chakra. Each segment has a natural sound to it: the root chakra has thunder, for example. The "natural" sound for the 6th chakra is supposed to sound "celestial"; however, I found it distracting. The first time meditating with the CD, I experienced the first through 5th chakras and was in SUCH a good place--and then the 6th chakra segment came on and the noise was so distracting it ruined the entire moment. As I said, I love the rest of the CD. Perhaps Jonathan Goldman should have meditated a little longer on the natural sound he chose for the 6th chakra.

Excellent Music with a purpose.I love all his music.I will always purchase his music.Highly recommend.

This is my favourite chakra cd that really does take you quite deeply within yourself.Each track is beautifully & powerfully created using the correct tonal frequenicies along within Jonathan Goldman & Sarah Bensons angelic voice.I also find for an even more powerful experience to try a bit of visualisation whilst listening to this cd(if you don`t nod off that is!) I also personally like to put on my crystal chakra set then put this on my headphones and try (when I can) to also visualize my chakra's being cleansed and opened. I always find after doing so that I feel refreshed and energized.I find that for best results this cd should be listened to everyday, and if possible, twice daily, once in the morning and then again in the evening. By doing this twice daily It helps set you up for the day with clear energy and then helps remove all unhelpful energy collected throughout the day when done again in the evening. After all, who wants to be carrying over a load of stale energy from one day to the next?!This is a must have for anyone wanting to have more control over their energy system and is also great for therapists to use in their practice.Ps/ Jonathan Goldman also has some other wonderful cd's, including Holy Harmony.

One of my top 5 favourites by JG- I use this(after nearly 9 years of using it), - to this day- to clear my chakras and raise my viberation and so on...

I prefer chakra chants 1 as the crystal bowls played there are very powerful for me

This is a wonderful CD for therapists very deep stuff and choose your client carefully but boy it works so well if you want to go into deep relaxtation this is for you very differnt but wonderful magic

The CD is wonderful for meditation. The music and sounds really take you up through the chakras. Excellent and beautiful work!
