Monster Hunter: World - Official Complete Works

Let me start off by saying this book, is absolutely amazing, I love it to death and I'm still reading in it even to this very day, because it huge book. I highly recommend it to any Monster Hunter fan, I guarantee, you will love it! Especially if you are a Monster Hunter fan who loves Monster Hunter lore, and concept art~! That being said, there is one issue with the book, it's the fact that it's TOO thick! Because of the thickness of the book, the binding can't really hold all the pages properly. As I was reading through it, some of the pages got loose and fell out. Now nothing a bit of very carefully planted super glue can't fix. But the thing is I shouldn't have to do this, in the first place. I do feel like there will be an Iceborne version at some point in the future, but I think the company would be better off going hard cover next time, or dividing it into two books instead of one huge one. Or if they do still chose to do the same thing, at the very least, make sure the binding can take it, so that no pages fall out. All in all, 5/5 Highly recommend!

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my best friend, he loved it wonderful art and notes, well worth the price

This book is so packed with detail and lore that I couldn't resist buying even though I knew the binding would fall apart. The same day i got it, i opened it and it fell to peices. I decided to take the time to take each page out, hole punch it, and add it to a binder to make it a complete book again. If your willing to put in the time for this, I seriously recommend it. Just for the information alone, I give it 5 stars! Note for MHW players, this book does not cover the Witcher monster or Behemoth, as they are not part of the Monster Hunter world. Please take the time to put this book back together, it is so worth it!

This is a huge, well curated collection of all the finished art, concept art and lore of Monster Hunter World. Even the dust jacket had a nice little surprise of the commission sigil reflecting in the light. It features high definition images of the characters and armor sets for cosplayers and fan artists alike. And of course, the monsters are well displayed, showing off their unique traits and physiology. Perhaps my favorite part of any Monster Hunter artbook is the early designs of monsters and the unused concepts that didn't make it into the game. If you loved Monster Hunter World, you will want this book!

I bought the book because I loved playing the game. I also love art and this book was available at a cheap price compared to other game artbooks. Well the reason it is cheap is because it is cheaply made. The spine and pages started falling out at the first (1st) reading! As far as content goes, I was hoping for more concept art and "behind the scenes" stuff. Pretty disappointed that over half of the book is just glossary of the monsters and location--something you expect to find in-game. I've already played the game; I've already seen it/ don't need that info.. There was only half a page of concept art for each monster and only a tiny bit of dev commentary. Still worth seeing if you are a fan of the game and like art.

Amazing book! Got this for my partner as he introduced me to the Monster Hunter series, I figured he'd love the concept art of the creature design, and I was spot on. This book was exactly what he was looking for. Seeing the concept art for Odogaron's claws was such a strong hook as it is his favorite monster, that and the progression of all the monster designs over time makes this by far a worthwhile purchase.

Aquí va una reseña de una persona muy fan de la saga. Importante recalcar que soy de Canarias, y me llegó en 15 días, aunque lo fui a buscar más tarde. El libro es una obra de arte. Debes saber que está en inglés y que es de los muy muy poquitos de Monster Hunter que están en inglés así que es una muy buena opción tanto para regalo como para empezar a coleccionar. Si eres muy fan del juego o quieres hacer un regalo tiene un precio increíble para la cantidad de contenido que tiene, de verdad, ya no solo sobre los monstruos que es lo más llamativo, pero a nivel ecológico, personajes, anatomía, y equipamiento. Son +500 páginas de una enciclopedia completísima que vale la pena tener. También tiene comentarios de los desarrolladores y de ideas y conceptos que tuvieron en cuenta para ello. A priori el producto llegó en perfecto estado y se deja manipular bien, leí reseñas de que se descosía y se rompía con facilidad pero de momento no he tenido ningún problema. Pesa como 2,5kg así que es importante saber esto para manipularlo. En definitiva si eres o la persona a la que se lo vas a regalar es muy fan del juego o saga te lo recomiendo 100% le va a hacer muchísima ilusión.

This book is an absolute beast, all printed on glossy magazine-style paper, featuring lore, artwork, and production notes. While there are other art books out there that cover the rest of the games in the franchise, if you can only choose one and don't mind the focus on World, then this is the book to get. This monstrous tome will give you the best bang for your buck. It is beautiful, well laid-out, and is chock full of everything you wanted to know and perhaps everything you didn't even know you wanted to know about Monster Hunter World. I ordered in April of 2021 and my copy came pristine and had no binding issues. All the pages were perfectly crisp and did not fall out. I don't know if I'm lucky or if original production run issues have been fixed, but I would say you should buy with confidence as I encountered no issues with my copy.
