The Energizer Bunny of Men’s Grooming
The real deal. I’ve bought this trimmer twice in my life, and I only had to buy a new one because I lost the guard on the last one. This thing is a beast, cuts through hair and leaves a great shave with little to no nicks. It only starts to pull on hair towards the end of its life but it lasted me almost 4 years before needing replacement. Long lasting, great performance and can take a serious beating before it gives up. For 20$ it is absurdly worth its price. I won’t even bother trying the new models because the designer peaked when he created this one. Well done Phillips, I will always recommend you to anyone who will listen.

To my relief, no body parts were harmed for this review
I've tried a number of shavers for the groin area and the results were usually burning irritation and some blood involved. I was even surprised that one brand, which showed the unit in the commercial being stroked across a balloon without popping, but I was left with some razor burn and some blood when I used it. No bueno. I wasn't about to bite the bullet and buy a shaver that cost north of 30 dollars thinking it would do a better job. I think a shaver at that price is ridiculous. So I picked this Bodygroom shaver based on the positive reviews with a bit of skeptical hope. This unit arrived very quickly and I put the unit to use the very same day. I thought I'd give it a try first on my underarms since it wasn't as sensitive as my groin area albeit still a challenge because the area has wrinkly ridges so I would get nicked in the past. I had no issues with the Bodygroomer. It's great that there are blades on both sides of the head. That helped with getting the hairs despite the growth direction. Being satisfied with the results on the underarms without drawing any blood, it was safe enough to try and conquer the groin area. I realized the key to this shaver was the tiny guide comb surrounding the blade. There is the smaller one already installed which can be switched out for the longer comb if you just need a trim and prefer to leave some length. The comb with the tiny teeth goes close enough to shave the hairs off and prevents the blades from mangling you down there. The result is a "close enough" shave, but not smooth as a blade. I also like that this shaver is shaped like your regular analog blade so it can be manipulated and maneuvered easily. I loved knowing I didn't have to be too gentle for risk of getting cut. I was able to get right in there. I'll be honest and admit that I wanted a trimmer that could be used beyond the family jewels. For the first time in my life I was able to tackle that area, including around the *ahem* rear chute. I feel cleaner, happier now. Finally, a mangroomer that can take care of the groin area and then some. I am more than satisfied with this shaver. Worth every penny. I do have to mention that when I was using the trimmer, the guide popped off a couple of times because I might have been pressing to hard, so I thought I'd mention that. I don't know if this will cause an annoyance down the line, but I can't get over that this shaver handled the job right up to the backside and even though it wasn't the closest shave like a blade, it was definitely close enough without any mangling or decapitation. I still have to tested it in the shower on the area that was getting longer with the additional comb attachment and the process was so easy because the cleanup went straight to the drain and the blade rinsing was right at the spigot before I turned the water off. So good, I'm considering purchasing a backup unit. I don't know how some people still got nicks, even when following directions because I was going at it full mower mode. Safest product I tried for groin trimming.

Leaves me smooth as a freshly clipped lawn
Ho boy, this thing. Summed up: It works. Does what it needs to. Does it very well, in fact! But it. Is. Sloooooowwww. Listed: First off. How close is the shave? Skin close. No stubble at all. Baby smooth. Dolphin skin smooth. Head shape is nice and small, and shaves in two directions. Handy! Plus it's a good grip feel in the hand. Battery is great so far. I use it every other day since I got it, and haven't charged yet. Cleaning is pretty easy. The guide pops off, and since this thing is water resistant, you can just rinse it. The little gears can build up hair pretty easy, but the showerhead sprays it right out. I've used it in the shower and it works fine. That said, I've found it cuts more easily on dry skin. No bleeding! Well, not really. I've gotten pinched a few times, but it's never hurt or broken skin. On one instance (shower shaving) it did irritate my tacky wet skin, so be careful there. Has yet to tug on my, uh... areas with looser skin. So that's pretty great. Okay, so, I love this thing. Works well. But, as many other reviewers pointed out, this is NOT a first pass shave. I have to hit the same spot a few times to get that smooth shave. It works slowly, very slow sometimes. But it's a close shave, with no fear of cutting. I can hack at my understuff like a woodsman having a bad day. I can swipe along the grain like a suburban dad drunk off his cog and taking his mower speed to eleven. And still no nicked bits. It's turtle slow, but does exactly what I need it to.

Best sensitive skin groomer/shaver there is, zero maintenance
The fact that I'm here writing a review for this product means I either love it or hate it. Well I love it. It's the first and only shaver I can use safely on my junk with literally no concern of cuts or nicks whatsoever. You can go to town and press as hard as you want and you won't cut yourself with this guy, which is better than every product I've ever tried. Not only that but it gets a very close trim, to the point where I would say most electric foil shavers cannot get this close, and only wet shaving would be better. If you have a lot of hair to start with, I will warn it's a time consuming process to get that smooth, but you can get nearly baby smooth with it after 15 minutes or so, and with the bonus of not making yourself bleed or bracing yourself for pain constantly. And it's reliable. Or at least it is for me. My purchase history shows I bought this 2 years ago and I have used it probably every other week for 2 years with few issues, plus my wife occasionally uses it as well. I recall changing the battery maybe twice in that time which is pretty unreal. One minor complaint is the included sensitive skin protector guard is cheap plastic and is slightly loose now and doesn't stay attached perfectly if I'm really aggressive with it, but if I go slower it stays on fine. However if that flimsy plastic guard breaks I would want to replace it, which probably means buying a whole new groomer just to get that little piece. I would say, don't use this as a wet shaver. It claims to do that, but it doesn't work well at all. You really need to use it on dry skin to get the best results. If your skin is damp or wet it will not glide well and won't cut very well as a result. Don't even bother using it in the shower. Use it before your shower, not after. I have been primarily using this as a nether region trimmer, but it's so good on those sensitive skin areas that I thought - after much washing, hehe - I would try it on my neckline around my beard. I always have issues with electric shavers in that area because my neck skin easily gets razor burned and irritated and red from electric shavers. Sure enough though, this magical little body groomer was able to take care of that area and get it very smooth with not a single red bump or irritation mark on my neck and no pain at all. Unbelievable. Not only does this groomer not clip your skin, it also doesn't EVER pull hairs. If you use a steady smooth technique and don't go too fast, you will literally not experience any discomfort whatsoever. The fact that this thing is AA battery powered is a bonus to me. Every single shaver I've ever used for 20 years has a rechargeable battery that goes to crap after a year or less of charge cycles, but this little $20 groomer keeps on going. And you can throw it in a travel bag and it doesn't take up much space, and you don't have to lug around the charger everywhere. Lithium-ion shavers are total junk after a year and might as well be permanently connected to a power cord anyway because you'll never be able to unplug it by then. I give this groomer an A+, and not only that it's arguably one of the best value-for-dollar items I own today. I might buy a couple more as backup just in case mine dies at some point. But so far it just keeps on working with no issues.

Just Okay But Not For a Wilde Beast Like Me
If you’re a wildebeest like me then you know that manscaping is a must. As you know, I personally am a big fan of using hair removal creams for my manscaping needs. However, today I decided to try something different. This is the Philips Norelco Bodygroomer 1100 Series. I got it off amazon for $20. It comes with one AA battery, two different skin guards, and a cord to hang it up in the shower if you want. It was easy to put together, taking all of 1 minute to put the battery inside the thing. I began by removing my chest hair. The head wasn’t that big so it took a relatively long time and I did have to go over the same area 3-4 times to get all of the hair. Here is the finished product. You can see I still have skin flaps from when I lost 100lbs. If you want to know more about that check out my keto diet videos. Then it was time to go downstairs. It’s been a while so I switched to the comb for longer hair and went to work. The description said it would be comfortable, however, it was anything but. The thing kept pulling on my hair the whole time. Trust me, and that hurts when you trimming your balls. I also had to make several passes to get it to the proper length. That being said it had been a long time since I mowed my lawn so I can’t blame the device entirely. Also, for $20 I wasn’t expecting that much. The good news is there were no nicks or cuts when I was done. Afterwards, I applied some TendSkin and it hardly strung at all. Overall I would give the Philips Norelco Bodygroomer 1100 series a 6/10 an okay body groomer and not bad for the price. But honestly, I would recommend you just bite the bullet and spend a few more dollars to get a better trimmer such as the Bodygroomer 2040. Your skin will thank you later.

Queue the Doogie Howser journal music....
This review will be a thoughtful one. One that I trust will help anyone looking to purchase this product for what is actually meant to do; Manscape... Thats what I purchased the Philips Norelco Bodygroom Series 1100 for, I will be honest. My family carries what I can only explain as the gene that protects our skin from sunburn, provides cooling by moisture soaking in the summer, and sometimes creates uncomfortable road trips. Somewhere along the way my genetics decided this was necessary and I am now left with additional upkeep because of it. A few points come to mind after using this product... - Stop wondering, yes it is very worth the money. I wish I would have made this purchase sooner. I am happier now! - My inclination that I am ambidextrous is correct. This was 100% confirmed with using this, and I was able to get all areas needing grooming. - The included silicon wrist strap wasn't an engineering masterpiece, it was an afterthought meant to help you. That strap will single handedly (no pun intended) save you $20 from needing to buy another one. Use it! While contorting into the proper position to get to the area you are trying to achieve, whether it be a hunched back, a catchers stance or simply acting as if you were using a back scratcher, you may inevitably loose that hold on this groomer and drop it. - Do NOT overgrip! The groomer isn't the easiest to hold onto while in use in those sensitive areas. Use the same grip you would for holding a very large pencil. You'll see what I mean... - Ensure you be gentle in Sensitive areas, as the blade guard is just that. A small cut in this area because of neglect, will feel like a Level 1 Trauma Center scene in a movie. There will be agony and curse words no matter what. The blade guard will be gentle on you if you are on it. - When one of the mirrors of your 2 sided mirror you are holding, falls on the shower floor mirror side up (without breaking thankfully!), make lemonade! Leave it lie there as an aid, this was meant to be. - After you have taken care of the areas you want to groom, make sure you give yourself adequate time in the shower afterwards to enjoy the feeling of water beading down your skin, the way God intended... - Not only will you will walk away feeling more smooth and confident, you will walk away feeling more limber. You'll easily be able to skip your next Yoga class and write this one down as one. Overall, great product and will do exactly what you want and need it to do. You will be a better feeling man (or woman) after time spent with this product and like me you should have probably taken this more serious, sooner... Happy trimming!

For the Girls ; D
Ladies please put down the pink, white, purple feminine crap buzz cut clippers!! If it works on a mans sensitive sack.. then your magic carpet will love this too! Far more durable and way shorter cut. Its light weight. Small for the difficult spots that those hedge trimmers just couldn't get without slicing you, and.. quiet. Probably more quiet than your bedside or underwear drawer toy. Juss sayin! This also works in a pinch if you need to shave your legs, armpits or other hairy surfaces quick

Solid choice, but there are better out there.
One battery is all it needs, twist off the bottom, put it in, back together, and you're good to go. Simply slide up the gray area to power it on. I found it very easy to use, and no complaints with the placement of the power control. I nicked my tender area once out of my 5 years of use, and I believe it was because the battery was dying. Its efficient, and painless. No skin irritation. It's kind of loud. My only complaint is that I can't find a replacement head. It seems to be built to last, but I didn't make an effort to maintain it, and I stupidly tried to shave my armpits with deoderant on them. The other parts seem to be working, just the head that's messed up and that's my fault. I also lost the guard years ago and that was useful, because I don't like to be bare lol, so it'd be nice to find that separately. Because of the price, I am going to recommend that you go with the OneBlade, because that does come with attachments to groom your body, and its easy to find replacement heads. Like 20ish extra dollars and its superior in my opinion. If you already have a great face razor and want something simple, cheap, and long lasting, this is a solid choice.
