Wear gloves, sleeves, pants, goggles, hanky over face, shoes and socks putting this stuff out. Like fiberglass (itchy) after putting it down. Only three days down... will write more in another week to see if it grows.6/4/2016 update: two weeks ago after mounting frustration i.e. why isn't this growing? How can it grow with that paper liner preventing the seeds from contacting the earth... I tried to flip the blanket over to remove the paper. Well, that didn't work too well. The blanket fell apart but with determination and sweat, I managed to remove all the paper and rearrange the blanket which was now in pieces. I watered it occasionally and noticed today that grass is growing!!My thoughts are: REMOVE the paper during application. Water at least once per day. Give it a chance. ​

After three weeks with rain almost every day, the grass kit has showed good results. It was fragile, and had to be put down carefully, but it is meant to be temporary. The white paper topside is particularly delicate, and it turned transparent, or at least translucent, when sprayed with water. There were more seeds than I expected, ( a small number were loose in the roll, and based on other reviews I was concerned) A high number of seeds have sprouted, the paper and muclh are going away, but the held the seeds in place on a slope dirt patch lo0ng enough to get pretty good coverage. There may be some spots to fill in come fall, but even that may not be necessary. A lawn service company had sprayed the area, unexpectedly (that side of the drive was not supposed to be done)n The spray suppressed the weeds, which was most of the growth, and prevented spring seeding on th4e spot. With a thin application of top soil ( half inch or less--mostly less), the seed blanket permitted the seeds to sprout on a slope. It was worth the price.

I must confess, when I'm wrong and make a mistake, I should correct that mistake. I scored this product a (1) at first and I wrote previously how much I disliked this product. And, I'll continue to state that subject product does not perform as advertised. However, after many many weeks of watering and effort on my part, the grass did grow and I now have a wonderful lawn. Also, while waiting and almost giving up on said grass, I planted an adjacent section of yard with grass seed from my local nursery. My seeded lawn has grown much quicker with less water and much less cost per sq. ft. Both product lawn and seeded lawn are looking wonderful.Amazon was wonderful in returning my costs. I now owe Amazon back the money they credited me.

I love the idea but needs instructions or tips included and the breed of grass it is would be nice. Example to add peet moss on top also. The birds loved the snack. I did add a thin layer but wasn’t enough so I added more. We will see how it grows.

We love this product. It is now a week since we put it down and our new grass is coming up. We made sure we followed all directions: Laying out the roll (even though it was a little windy it still went down OK); we put down a quarter inch of good garden soil, and finally have been watering it every day. We would definitely recommend it.

Flimsy material, stakes push through the fabric and the slightest wind turns the roll into a long green kites. Tears easily and the breeze sends pieces across the neighborhood.

Followed instructions to the letter. MAYBE 40% grew. Not worth the time and effort. VERY disappointed!

Not a good idea on a stormy night. Blew away.
