Realistic
They've come pretty far with LED. Do not see a bulky driver, base...They look like the real thing. (( Except the filaments you will see yellow )) Pretty bright (( although 500 Lumens is NOT an equivalent for 60W... That is 800 Lumens...450 being a typical 40W...These would be about 45-50W))...but they are bright. We all have some things to learn when buying a bulb today!...lol? {{ You can't go by Watts anymore, it's LUMENS = 1Lumen = 1 Candle // KELVIN . COLOR TEMP...2,700 Soft -- 3,000 Bright White -- 3,500 to 4,000 (More toward Daylight) -- 5,000 Daylight. Daylight will be "blueish" and ugly in say a living room but they've improved on this as well. THESE BULBS DO NOT LOOK "BLUE" BUT NICE BRIGHT WHITE...NICE! // KELVIN / COLOR TEMP (( Simple )) Kelvin 5,000 is 12 Noon, Wisconsin, July 1st. (was used for film developement. If you didn't specify color temp, you would get TRUE COLOR 5,000K) -- The suns rays generally are in the "blue" spectrum and at 12 noon there is less atmosphere blocking the blue...At sunrise light has to "Angle" through more atmosphere thus filtering this blue light "toward the Red Spectrum. As it rises there is less red (less atmosphere) Yellow...White...12 Noon (truest light / color) , then back again to sunset. That's Kelvin in a nutshell }} .... Me in a "nut"shell because I like to teach. :) --- Figured I might simplify what all this means: BULB BASE // LUMENS // KELVIN....The basics of what you need to know. The # on the bulb (EX G "25") IS THE BULBS DIAMETER IN 1/8"...The "G" stands for "Globe". // T8 Fluorescent = T "Tubular" 8 one eighths of an inch = 1" fat ...Simple!

Great lights!
These lightbulbs are very large, but exactly the look that I was going for! You can check out my picture for comparison. I purchased the daylight color and it is a little too garage like for me, so I will be exchanging them for the soft white. I will update my review with pictures once I get the soft white light!Hope this review is helpful! If it was, would you be so kind to mark it as such? Also, if you appreciate this review and enjoy other great deals, I’d love to connect with YOU! Come say hello on FB/IG! Happy shopping, friends! @prettycheapmama

Blown away by these excellent bulbs - elegant, reliable and energy efficient!
I used to buy GE, but these are such a great deal! I looked around quite a bit and was wary of choosing something too cost effective, as even LED's are known to fail if cheaply produced. They arrived in such careful and elegant packaging by the manufacturer, and have been reliable, constant and cheap to run for months now.I've been running six of these bulbs almost continuously, and there has been not even a hint of failure from any of them.

Very nice on vanity mirror
Got it for my mom’s vanity mirror. I didn’t wanna pay $90 on impressions vanity website so I bought 2 set of the 40w daylight. They’re perfect, not too bright, the bulb is not too big. Love it

Too harsh for me, returned
I bought these lights for my bathroom. At first I loved how much brighter they were compared to the old incandescent ones that got blistering hot and wasted a lot of electricity. But then at night when I would use the bathroom and get ready for bed, it was like waking up at 7am with the sun blaring in your face. Not the best way to prepare yourself for sleep. There bulbs had to be higher then 5000k, they looked more like 6500k. The CRI is not that great either. The quality of the light made everything look weird. I wish I could have measured it. I guess I should have got the 40w equivalent instead of the 60w. I installed a dimmer switch to try and make them less bright which worked but mad them look even more weird. I then tried to install them in other places around the house but they were either too big or not bright enough for ceiling lights, lamps, etc. So I ended up returning them and got different ones from Sun Co with a white globe and 4000k temp and they are great!

Lots of light
We are renters and have no window in bathroom. The old globe lights were dim and sad. Adding these lights was a game changer! They add so much brilliance and elevate the look of the room. Might sound silly, but it makes the room so much brighter and happier. Can't speak to how well they last because we've only had them a month. Hopefully better than the old ones for the cost.

Not true 2700k, but still good
These are beautiful bulbs but I don't think they're a true 2700k. I have quite a few LED bulbs in different fixtures in my house that have a lot more warmth (which I prefer). These are less of a soft white than a true bright white. I still like them, but I'm a little less impressed since they aren't as warm as advertised.

Beautiful upgrade.
These are a beautiful replacement for the old, clear vanity bulbs in my Master bathroom. I needed 24 bulbs so I have been waiting until prices were low enough to afford replacing them all. I was a little worried about how they would look compared to the old tungsten bulbs but am very pleased with the result. Because LED power consumption is so much lower, I could also install a dimmer switch which is a great addition. I used Leviton TSM10-1LW Toggle Slide Universal Dimmer, 400-Watt, which also works great. These bulbs are soft white but definitely bright enough for a vanity mirror, the lack of heat is very noticeable and they look great. A beautiful upgrade.
