cheap, and I have used one razor for a month and it hasn't gone dull, but then again i'm a girl who doesn't need to do major shaving every day. I got a double edge razor because I got tired of paying the girl tax for everything pink and ineffective. My ex left his razor (mach 3) over my place. I used it when mine broke (don't do this ladies and gents this is how hepatitis C spreads) and I realized wow it is much better than the girl kind (shick quattro) that didn't get a close shave at all. I wised up and used his with until I ran out of replacement blades (one would last about 3 months) and realized how much it would cost to replace it ($30+) I did some research and winded up with a new razor. Yes I get more nicks due to the learning curve, but this is the next best thing to laser hair removal in terms of long term costs.

Lord, an egyption razor producer, makes a very wide variety of blades that are high quality but each is different in their own way whether it's the grind, the steel composition, the edge coating (or as some believe the box :)). This is very very good selection of some of the more popular (and less popular) Lord blades with some obvious exceptions.While The Lord Platinum is one of my favorite go to blades and Shark Platinum is often compared to Feather, there are some lesser blades in here too (Crown for instance).I would have loved to have seen every current production Lord blade in this selection, including Rainbow (I find it to be a very nice, durable blade)Just keep in mind, that the reason there are so many blades out there is that they are different, they behave differently on every face and even in different razors....no two faces are the same and your milage may vary...so there is no 1 perfect blade that works for everyone.

The blades seem decent enough, I bought them though in order to find a razor blade brand/style that works well for me. Every single blade type included in this pack was Made in Egypt, so they're most likely just rebrands from the same manufacturer and very similar in materials, design, etc. I was hoping to find a real variety pack.UPDATE: After having gone through many of the blades, my findings are as follows:* Shark blades: Work OK, nothing to write home about, wear out very quickly* Lord blades: Work pretty well. It include chrome, platinum, super stainless, etc, but I can't tell a lick's worth of difference between them, once the wrapper is off they even look 100% identical, same printing and all. I'm betting these are all the same blade in diff. packaging.* Asco blades: Work very very well. This is one of the best blades I've tried. Unfortunately you can't buy just this blade anywhere outside of this pack, making this worthless as a sampler.* Crown: Unless I dropped the pack somewhere, I don't think I got any of these* Big Ben: Very very poor. By far the worst blade I've ever used.

I've been using these razors for the past 3 months and I must say they're excellent.At the time I started, admittedly I cut myself a few times, but that was due to my beginner level wet shaving skills! Since then, I've been using these razors to shave a couple times per week. I use a blade for a couple shaves and then I just pick a new one at random as I've found them to all get the job done.Perhaps when I become more experienced with wet shaving I'll develop more of a preference for one brand over another, but until then, they all get it done!This is an excellent pack for a beginner (ie myself) or someone who's experienced with wet shaving that just needs a little more variety!

Excellent assortment of quality double edge blades. Like many, I have my favorites, but these are good enough, that I will gladly purchase a set of these varied blades again. My only reason for marking down one star is that some of these blades may not last as long as I would like, but the majority provide smooth, consistent shaves for the duration of their use.I wold recommend the purchase of these blades for anyone looking for reasonable quality and value.

The sampler I received was exactly as advertised. All these blades are from the same manufacturer, and fall into three general types: Super Stainless, Super Chrome and Platinum. All the Super Stainless types seem to be identical, regardless of the brand name on the box. I get 3 to 4 good shaves from the Super Stainless. The Super Chrome seem to be a step up because they seem to last a bit longer. The Lord Platinum blades I received are outstanding in terms of sharpness, smoothness and longevity, and are my hands down favorite in this sampler (followed by the Shark Super Stainless in second place). These blades are a great value for the money and I will definitely purchase blades from this manufacturer again.

I ordered this variety pack when I first got into wet shaving with a DE razor and have been relatively satisfied. As other reviews have pointed out, these are all made in Egypt, likely in the same facility. That being said, as a newbie, I was able to find a blade that works for me. Additionally, it did help me to realize that different blades do affect that quality of your shave. Other samplers probably have more variety, but this is a very economical option with enough blades to last you a while.

I thought this would be a good way to try out some of the less mainstream blades like the Lords and Big Ben. Got all the blades promised however the Big Ben and Crown blades weren't in a box, just 10 loose paper envelopes. Wasn't crazy about that, I'd rather have them in the box as pictured. So far I've only tried the Big Ben blades, decent blade and better by far than Treet or Super-Max. Will update after I try the others.
