oh what can i say ...went into this film blind , no trailers , no reading up - nothing .. and boy i was gladthis is a really good film the story is great and has some amazing writing for anime that is ,the art style is a cross between older simpler and newer Ghibli style its really well done and cleanthe English audio is very good and sounds really naturalim not going too spoil the movie i suggest you buy this ... blind buy it is worth it ..i was in tears at one point .. so connected too the charactersthe small picture i added here explains the feel of the movie pretty well ...if you like well written Ghibli style anime this is a total must have ..

this is a typical japanese anime done in the style of Ghibli ,i really enjoyed this little film ,good graphics ,lots to look at great story ,i often buy these films for the graphics and enjoy looking at the work put in by the artists ,if the film is entertaining then it's a bonus ! this is such a film ,no spoilers from me so it's recommended !zmf

A surprisingly in depth story about life, death and family. Characters feel realistic and the animation is excellent other than a few questionable choices with 3D(ill get to those). The average adult viewer and children will thoughly enjoy this film. It has that same wholesome feeling of Ghibli while remaining distinct in its art style.Strictly For the referance of long term anime fan: At saying this, there are several scenes where characters, backgrounds and details have been rendered in 3D and either rotoscoped or just thrown in. These feel jarring, break the immersion and distract from what is actually happening. 3D, like this, in anime is a trend that REALLY needs to end.

The story is cute, children would like it.

This film is a really lovely anime, one that tugs at your heartstrings due to its sad storyline of a young girl, who loses her parents in a car crash and goes to live with her grandmother in a traditional Japanese Inn, but she is the only one able to see the friendly house spirits that have watched over her since she was a child.It is a brilliantly done film with lots of colour and you will definitely need tissues to watch it!

Lovely quaint anime with a touch of humour at just the right moments

Excellent film for children and adults

With the given description I was expecting A bit more of a magical story similar to spirited away. As it stands it’s a heartfelt but small story of a little girl. I’m glad I’ve seen it, but there are better movies in its genre.
