the album is awesome, just like one would expect from this veteran punk rock and roller. only 2 new songs but the rest are studio versions of old songs that appeared on the live in detroit album from '96, all completely reworked and fully badass. The albums only regret is that it might be too short, there could have easily been 3 or 4 more tracks added, but every track is solid gold.Well worth the $6. Get it, you wont be disappointed.

Cheetah can do no wrong - as he proves once again in this stellar solo effort. A mere 7 tracks, no fluff nor filler, that blast as fully as the Dead Boys ever did. Not to mention that ex-New York Doll Sylvain Sylvain adds fuel to the raging holocaust of down and dirty tunage...

Long live the DEAD BOYS!This is a nice EP from one of the founding fathers of Punk Rock.Some nice songwriting on display here.

Great effort from Cheetah, nee Gene O'Conner.

First, ya gotta love Cheetah Chrome. This man with the punk rock provenance has already proven himself a legend in Rocket from the Tombs and The Dead Boys, but for all the lost years, it’s no surprise he’s put together a solo EP that shows he’s no has been. In fact, it sounds as if he’s just finding his voice.‘Solo’ is his so-called “lost” album put together in 1996 (with Genya Ravan producing) and finished up with the help of Sylvain Sylvain and others in 2010. Many Cheetah fans like me have anxiously anticipated the release of this record, subsisting on some great songs on the new Rocket from the Tombs and The Batusis recordings.What’s startling is this album truly has a solo, solitary vibe. Cheetah paints a clear picture of the broken life he lived, scraping and addicted. His gruff vocals and down deep lyrics let you know he’s lived that life until he was sick of it. It’s as if this record is his alone, his simultaneous love letter and righteous kiss off to his past. I guarantee if you like your music greasy, with good solid punk rock guitar, you’ll love this. The only downside is it’s not nearly long enough.

Everything about this just plain works. Somewhere along the line Cheetah became a strong singer in addition to being a best-in-class guitarist. His vocal style is expressive and honest, at times reminding me a bit of Bob Seger. The songwriting is top notch and catchy. I found myself humming a few of these songs to myself a week after first hearing them. Of course the guitar work is pure Cheetah, hard hitting, emotional, and 100% from the heart. The productions is solid and never more than is needed. Cheetah should be really proud of this album. I hope there is another soon.

What can I say about Cheetah ? Well let me start by saying he was the a member of the punk band DEAD BOYS I would say the USAs SEX PISTOLS a brilliant controversial bunch of nutters who played there music as it should be LOUD. This cd does not disappoint with every track being a great song if you like DEAD BOYS then this is for you.
