Colours and Shapes: Touch & Trace Early Learning Fun! (My First Learning Groovers) Board book – Unabridged, January 1, 1882

My grandson loves this book. He is developmentally delayed and the size of the pictures and the colors. not too bright. are perfect. It helps him focus on one picture/item at a time as I say the shapes and colors to him. I recommend these books for all daycares, Headstart programs and Preschools.

My mother-in-law (a librarian) got this book for our son last summer when he had just turned 3 to help him learn how to trace shapes. He loved it and we've gone through it dozens of times, but my 2 year old will sit for a while going through it to say the words for each page. It's great for both age groups and I wish the other books in the series were more readily available in the United States. Great book!!

Initially my son was not interested in this book. However later he became very fond of it, and for a time it was one of his favourites. I think he really enjoys the bright colours and clear illustrations. There's a lot of pages compared with some other books we have. He loves to go through each picture with me to read the text or say the colours or shapes. I would describe it as medium size. As there is just one picture on each page, this means that the picture is quite big and makes it an easy read at the end of the day when his eyes are more tired. All the pictures have grooves around the edges to help learn the shapes, but I haven't noticed my son take any notice of these grooves, except to try to peel the inner sector! Fortunately the book has not been damaged by these attempts. The book is relatively robust construction compared to some other board books we have so should last well. I've just bought the ABC book in the same series and I'm hopeful he will enjoy that book just as much.
