Reliable, cheap, and fast
Super cheap and fast reply! They tested tile and mastic all in one test. I've paid twice this amount for other tests and they would only do either tile or the mastic. I highly recommend

Never received the results
Bought this product but never received the results. I messaged the company. They did respond with asking how I mailed it and did I include all the information. It sounds like they had not received it. So, I let them know when I sent in the sample and that I had filled out all info on the instructions. That was the last communincation I got from them.I understand things could get lost and things happen but the lack of communication is why the 1 star. Not sure if the lab lost it or it never arrived, but I didn't feel they were trying to help with the problem. Here is a break down of communicationSept 9 sent in sampleSept 14 asked about sample (this was a saturday morning to be fair on their response being 2 days later)Sept 16 responded with maye another name? was paperwork filled out?Sept 16 I respondedSept 17 asked if they had found the sampleAfter no response, I decided to cut my losses and asked Amazon for a refund

Easy and fast 24 hour results
Very simple to use, great instructions and most importantly, results came in the 24 hour window I paid for. Right on the money. I wouldn't hesitate to use again.

Nice turn-around, easy, instructions need to be read carefully
No complaints if you take your time and read the instructions. One caveat is that the test only includes one sample collection. They suggest taking three samples, so you need to go to their website and buy two more if you wish (not mandatory). This will add $20/extra sample to the cost. I don't have a problem with that and actually it makes a lot of sense. But do anticipate paying more and using your own ziplok bags for all but the first. NOTE: You can't just put multiple samples in one bag. Yes, you could, but since their testing doesn't use 100% of the collected materials, it really isn't a valid way to sample...buy three if you want three :) In my case all three came back negative. I'm very happy I took three samples. Results were timely, I think a couple of weeks. There are lab results which could be included in your home records.

Easy, quick, and straightforward.
Results were quick and clear, I had opened up my subfloor in my 115 year old home only to find some scary looking insulation material I quickly ordered a kit, took a sample, filled out the chain of custody form, and sent it off to the lab. Results came pretty quickly, thank Gd no asbestos was detected. Thank you!In my case I actually sent two samples because there were also old tiles that I wanted to get tested since tiles also sometimes contained asbestos, the kit contains a website where you can cash app for another test I printed out the receipt stuck in the envelope with the sample and they performed both tests for me.

Never sent me my results
It’s now been three weeks since I sent in my samples and still no reply and no results. In addition to buying the kit, the envelope that is included does not include postage. Postage was an additional $5.40 due to the size of the envelope. Results were supposed to be sent to me within 72 hours of them receiving my samples.

Quick turnaround, presumably reliable results; would be nice if report were more descriptive
Before we bought our house, our home inspector warned us that our basement floor likely contained asbestos, and that we should never tear it up without having it tested. I used this test to help decide if it was okay to tear up the floor this summer, or if we should cover it with some other flooring. The kit from Amazon came with gloves and a mask, and I was able to cut a square inch of tile from an area where a previous homeowner (naughty) had cut a whole in the floor. I put the sample in the provided plastic baggy, which went in the provided padded envelope, which went in the provided addressed envelope. Note, the final envelope is not postage paid. I paid $9 for two day shipping (from MA to CA, with tracking). I took the sample on 5/31, which went in the mail on 6/1, and was received by the lab on 6/3. The tests were run on 6/7 and I got my results the same day. Note that although that looks like 4 days, they received the sample at some point on Thursday and did the tests very early on a Monday, so assume that “3 Day Turnaround” means “3 Business Days”. I was perfectly content with this. The sample I sent included floor tile on one side and mastic on the other side. I assumed they would only test the tile, but the lab tested both the tile and the mastic separately as two samples, and did not charge extra. My report says that the floor tile contained “Chrysotile”, while there was no asbestos found in the mastic. My only complaint about any of this is that I needed to google “Chrysotile” to confirm that it is a form of asbestos. It would have been nice if the report was a bit more descriptive, even if that description was completely boilerplate. At the very least, they could have a little checkbox saying “Yes, Asbestos detected.” However, I would say this is a minor quibble. So, overall, it cost me $40 and about a week’s worth of waiting to confirm that my floor has asbestos in it, and so I’m going to cover it up for safety. The process was smooth, and having piece of mind is well worth $40.

Buyer beware (updated)
When I opened, it then explains that one test is not enough, and that you need at least three test spots per room, which adds up. Glad I only sent one in. Sent it on the 25th of November and gave some grace because if Thanksgiving, but now it's the 5th of December with no email. Made sure my handwriting and email were correct before sending as the directions tell me to. Total scam.Updated. So magically after giving my initial review I got my test results back. I upped the star rating, but only to a three star due to the lateness and not knowing I need to send in several samples at 20$ each.
