I had bought a resqme tool but really didn't want it around the rear view mirror or around the headrest post as I've see some place theirs...So I thought visor would be a good idea and this assessory works great it's holds the resqme tool firm and clamps on the visor nice... Would recommend.

This is a review for the Resqme window breaker/seatbelt cutter, as well as the accessory kit. I was gifted the Resqme tool for Christmas, and decided I wanted place it on the passenger side visor, as I feel that is best for driver and passenger rescue/escape. I purchased the accessory kit and love it. I’ve not used the actual device, and I hope I never have to. Upon handling, it feels very solid and well-made. Effort and thought was certainly put into this tool and I appreciate the sizing, storage, handling, colors, and low cost to purchase. If you are looking to purchase the Resqme and think you may want to mount it anywhere other than your key ring, go and ahead and buy the tool AND accessory kit together. You’ll save several dollars on it. CONS: My only complaint would be the size of the instruction booklet. The instructions and diagrams are very small and hard to read for my aging eyes. It was for this reason alone that I chose to leave a review, not so I could complain, but so that I could offer photos to the next potential buyer. If you’re on the fence about it, go ahead and purchase this. You, your family, and your friends deserve peace of mind when traveling. There is no price tag for that. Breaking glass and cutting away a restraint isn’t just for escaping from water. This can be used in any accident, and not just your own!

exactly what I needed, works great

I bought this for the Visor mount, which is in my opinion essential to proper use of the resqme. I mounted the resqme on the passenger visor in my vehicle, within reach of the driver. I believe this is the safest place for this device since it is quick to access by the driver or passenger and is properly secured in the event of a collision. The mount fit snugly and stays in place decently well, even as I use the visor. It holds the resqme securely, but doesn't offer any resistance to release it if needed. This product + the resqme is great for peace of mind and is priced fairly.

The Rescue Me products are solid. My husband is a firefighter and many of the firefighters carry these in their cars and on the fire fighting gear (they respond to car crashes as well). I keep one in each of our cars, hanging from the rear view mirror. Can't put a price on safety and this is worth it. Small but powerful.

The visor clip holds the ResQme tool securely on the visor so you’ll be able to access it quickly if you ever need it. When seconds count, you need to be able to access lifesaving tools quickly and in complet darkness if needed. We have these in all of our vehicles and I have used this tool in Law Enforcement to gain entry into vehicles after a small child had been locked in the backseat in the middle of the summer when there’s no time to wait on a locksmith. Great tool to hole the ResQme tool.

I bought the resqme escape tool and visor holders for stocking stuffers at Christmas. My family lives in the Mid-west with wide open spaces and dangerous winter driving conditions - not to mention countless deer strikes and other hazards that those of us out East don't think about. I watched a bunch of "car escape" videos on YouTube after I became aware of the potential problem of being trapped in your seat belt and unable to open your door or window in a crash. Many comparable tools are large or require complex motion to use like the escape hammers - which the escape videos point out is difficult if you are upside down in a rollover. This is small, simple and the mount keeps the tool in place in a crash such that if you are upside down and/or underwater the tool won't have been thrown to the backseat on impact such that you can use it to actually save your life. For about $10 for the tool and a lesser amount for the visor mount my family now thinks I'm a thoughtful guy. The high visibility colors and simple operation make this my choice over the other car escape tools commonly sold. Most of us pay $1,000 or more yearly for car insurance, for an extra $10 this one time purchase seems prudent.

This makes it easier to find a suitable place to mount the escape tool, grab handles, headrests, sun visor etc. Seems expensive for what it is but works well, if you ever need to use the rescue tool in an emergency it needs to be easy to access.

One of the biggest frustrations I had with my Resqme when I got it was not having a place to secure it in the car. I have a wireless FOB so the key is always in my pocket which is not ideal for an emergency situation where seconds count. I now have one Resqme mounted to the drivers sun visor and one secured to the headrest post of the passengers seat. This way I have relatively easy access to both in the event that one becomes dislodged during an accident. My back seat passengers will also have easy access to one in the event of an emergency. I was worried that the visor clip may not fit snugly on my visor but it holds on very firm. This kit is a must have for anyone with a Resqme. It should really come standard with the Resqme for an extra cost.
