Needs to be edited properly!!
The story wasn't bad. It was a bit disjointed. At one point a boy caught our main character kissing another boy and she felt guilty because she's told him she wasn't ready to date. I didn't recall that, so I went back through the dialog and couldn't find that conversation. Then, when I'd pushed it out of my mind, that scene occurred later in the book. The book is written in a linear way. It definitely wasn't a flashback...just really poor editing. I felt like poor editing was an ongoing problem, but dis my best to ignore it and finish the book.

... by Hannah Jayne and I can honestly say I enjoyed this one a lot more
This is the second book I've read by Hannah Jayne and I can honestly say I enjoyed this one a lot more.Sawyer is a likable character if maybe not a super strong one. In some ways she is, in that she's a survivor of some pretty rough things like some major bullying and an abusive boyfriend (not a spoiler, it's basically on the back of the book). She's a good character because she's very realistic. It's hard to deal with what she goes through and she reacts the way a real person might, struggling with how much to share and who to tell. The mystery was good, especially since while there were several suspects and you could kind of guess towards the end who it was, they all seemed pretty viable. The hints were subtle, but valid, and in the end it didn't feel like it was just out of left field. Very good.I also appreciated how Jayne dealt with some kind of sensitive subjects. Abuse. Love. Bullying. "Broken" families. Social stratification. Victim blaming. How people believe the easiest answer even though there might be a different, more complicated correct answer. How no one listens to a kid. I mean, it's got it all, but these points are so subtle a.d easily woven in that it's natural and makes for a smooth story. Very impressive.I really enjoyed this book, would definitely recommend it, and will be checking out more by this author.

Great Read, Keeps You On the Edge of Your Seat
Hannah Jayne is a wonderful writer, and Truly, Madly, Deadly proves it as much as or more than her other books. It's creepy and suspenseful and at the same time a fun read. True to Jayne form, the main character Sawyer and her best friend Chloe have a great relationship and lots of witty banter as they explore the complete and complex world, both at school and at home, that Jayne has created. This is my favorite element in a Jayne novel. The novel kept me guessing until the end, and as the suspense and darkness build, as it becomes more and more obvious that the 'accidents' around Sawyer aren't accidents, I was unable to put the book down.

Such a great thriller/mystery !!!!!!
This book was great from beginning to end. I loved it and couldn't put it down. The end was my favorite part. I would have never guessed that ending. Another good thing about it was that the main character, Sawyer. She was very relatable. The author did a really good job at telling the story. This book deserved ten stars. If you love a good thriller this is definitely the book for you.
