These take practice.
These covers are a good idea but they can be difficult to secure and not lose when is use in busy conditions. At home or sitting at a rest area during along ride, but if you are more rushed it can be difficult to confirm that you have secured them well to your cleats. Good materials and necessary with the vanishing of Speedplay's cleat covers for their own cleats which they mistakenly (!) no longer manufacture.

Good Fit & Retention
They are thick enough to provide a non-slip protective cover for your cleats. They do fit, but may need some encouragement to slip on the first couple of times used. Once there has been a little bit of stress reshaping of the rubber, they slip on quite easily. And being rubber, "durability" depends entirely on how much walking with them you do. They are after all meant to be in your back pocket whilst cycling.

Thick, but a bit tricky to get on
These are very well made, thick flexible rubber, so they will last longer than the Coffee Shop covers or whatever they're called. And once they're on, they stay on very well. But one goes on great, and the other needs a lot of attention. It just seems to be one of the covers, because it's difficult no matter which cleat I put it on. Hopefully just needs more breaking in, and with warmer weather coming up, it will get a chance.

Great covers to protect your shoe cleats and your floors at home
These fit my old school Speedplays well. They were difficult to locate as apparently people think there is something better than the Speedplay X. They are the best pedals in the world and the best pedals need good cleat protection.Just fit these over the cleats that you have attached to the bottom of your road cycling shoes to protect your floors and your behind. They are nice to have along on a ride if you and your pals want to stop for a snack or coffee or whatever. Just snap these on and walking instantly becomes easier in your road shoes. I wear Sidi shoes and the cleats look huge. I needed these covers and they are just the thing!I highly recommend them.

Shoddy Cleat Covers At Best
Lost one of my Speedplay covers so I purchased these seeing the positive reviews and the very attractive price. These are bulky, hard to snap over the cleat and fall off the cleat very easily. Luckily they're cheap so I don't feel bad, but i'll be springing for the real speedplay covers as now I know they're worth it compared to this junk.I give the product 2 stars because they do work, just not very well. I'm baffled by the positive reviews. These folks must not have a frame of reference, they're bogus reviews or they're satisfied with a poor performing junk. Yes, I do have X series pedals and cleats.

Useless
I lost one of my Speedplay brand cleat covers and bought this set to replace it/them. I was very disappointed. It seems like a simple matter to design them to stay on the shoes, but these just kept falling off. If I placed them on the cleats and carefully lowered my foot to the ground, then twisted and ground them into place, they MIGHT stay on for a little while. Terrible product. A few weeks ago I found the missing cleat cover under my porch steps and immediately stopped even trying to use these.

Good Protection if you can get them on
I have had a few version of these over the years being a avid user of speed play pedals. These are great covers that if you can get them on will actually stay on the cleat. The previous verisons would fall off at the drop of a hat leaving you with one cover lost in no time. These are much improved but you really have to put them one carefully and step down on them to make them stay otherwise they pop off at the first step. All in all a better solution but not nearly easy enough. Really I would rather have a strap around the shoe since it would be easier to put on and know they would stay on.

Much better than the old cleat covers
Kool Kovers are great. Previously, I had Coffee Shop Covers for my Speedplay X-Series cleats. When I lost one because they did not fit very securely, I bought Kool Kovers. At first, I thought they did not fit, because I could not get them to stay on. Then, I read the directions on the little tag which was attached to them. It explained exactly where to press so the Kovers would snap into the cleat spring. You have to press hard in the right spots, but when you do the Kovers lock on, much better than the Coffee Shop Covers.
