I listened to these guys on Spotify and instantly fell for them. I generally love Avantasia and Maiden plus Magnum. Strange mix I know but these guys are right up there if they stick aroubd long enough. If you are new to these guys I'd give em a try. I think they will hold a massive appeal, probably more so that they appear to have changed direction slightly, but hey, bands evolve.

nach den doch etwas arg dünn ausgefallenen und schwachen Songs von Red Silent Tides, auf denen die Elvenking Ursprünge, nämlich die Folk Elemente verleugnet und stattdessen auf eine eher komerzille "Emoschiene" gesetzt wurde ist davon auf dem neuen Weg Era zum Glück kaum noch was übrig.Elvenking liefern ein vollgepacktes Album ab, mit kraftvollen Songs, die durch Gastmusiker gekonnt unterstütz werden. Dazu sind die Folk Einflüsse zurück, durch die viele der 14 Songs veredelt werden. Wenn man das neueste Album mit einem der alten Album vergleichen muss, geht es noch am ehesten in Richtung Winter Wake und das ist sicherlich kein schlechter Referenzwert :)Warum der Stern Abzug? Gefühlt schwächelt das Album gegen Ende etwas, es sind einige Stellen dabei die haarscharf an der totalen Kitschgrenze vorbeischrammen, da ist noch Ptential fürsnächste Album übrig.

Veramente un bellissimo digipack (che sarebbe la scatolina porta cd cartonata), come sempre impacchettato e spedito egregiamente!Ormai fedele compagno di viaggi in macchina, siamo anche riusciti a farlo autografare al concerto.
