Way too bulky to be comfortable
I have a major problem with clenching my jaw when I sleep so I talked with my dentist about getting a mouth guard. I saw the great reviews on this product and the price was reasonable so I decided to give it a try. The instructions were easy enough to follow and it did not take too much time to get the guard fitted to my teeth. The problem came when I started to wear it for a little while to get used to it. I have a smaller mouth so I was unable to fully close my lips around the guard. I had to force myself to do it and when I relaxed, my lips would pop back open. This is not ideal when you're sleeping because you end up drooling all over yourself and your lips become very dry. I also found that with it being so large, my tongue couldn't rest properly in its place and I felt like I was gagging on the guard. I really wanted to like this product but I feel like it is meant more as a mouth guard for a football player than an mouth guard used to help clenching and grinding . This may not be the case for everyone but for someone with a smaller jaw and mouth, I would recommend trying a less bulky product.

My first night time mouth guard.
I got this night guard to help with my TMD. It has helped me with my TMD, however it is big and bulky which makes it kind of hard to sleep with. With this in I tend to drool alot at night as I cant easily close my lips with it in. It does feel good to have in my mouth though. Its kind of squishy to bite on and that feels great. It has a hole in the front middle so that you can breathe through your mouth no problem. For the molding to your teeth, I found this pretty easy to do. But I could never get it to fit quite right and part of it melted during one of the procedures. If you are looking to try out night guards to see if they will help you I think this is a great piece as it doesn't cost much and it really lets you see what having one is like. Because of my experience with this one, I found that it helped me with my TMD and that I liked having one to sleep with and caused me to go to the dentist to get a professionally molded one.

You don't have to suffer with biting your tongue in your sleep.
As I got older and gradually more overweight I started to bite my tongue in my sleep. The problem seems to correlate to apnea events. What a horrible way to wake up! I'm hoping that losing weight will reverse the problem, but meanwhile this device lets me switch from nose to mouth breathing without waking and without biting my tongue. Easy to get used to, and great peace of mind. SLEEP IS IMPORTANT! Protect it.

While this product is made of the best materials I have used
While this product is made of the best materials I have used, this is the 4th brand I'm trying (I tried Grind No More and Dura Comfort Sleep Right and DenTrek Comfort fit) It has some definite downs. 1. it is too small so it does not extend over my to my back molars. 2. because my I have an underbite it put a lot of pressure on my lower teeth and I had to cut off the bottom part so it's didn't press up against my bottom teeth. 3. the front is too bulky to my mouth has to remain open the entire night. The only good thing about it is that I haven't chewed through it yet and it seems to effectively stop my grinning when it's on, but I have found that I only spend half the night with it before I'm forced to remove because of how dry my lips get and the uneven pressure that happens when I sleep on my sides. I hope this help.

Simple and Effective
The boil and bite fitting was easy enough to follow. At first, I found the guard a bit uncomfortable in that it fits far enough back in my mouth to almost invoke a gagging reflex. I also have to keep my mouth shut, naturally, to prevent the device from slipping out of my mouth, which means I had to learn to breathe only through my nose. This takes some getting used to, but it prevents snoring, I guess, but once I did get used to it, it effectively stopped me from grinding and I didn't wake up with sore jaws. Soon after I stopped using the guard altogether. I think it helped train my brain or whatever was driving my nerves to clench my jaw to ease up and break the cycle.

You might like it, but it didn't work well for me.
Even though I feel I followed the package directions correctly, I am not satisfied with this product. I gave it two instead of one star because I do admit there may be some user error or simple extra sensitivity on my part that is shading my opinion of this product. I molded it to my mouth using the boiling water process, and I felt that it went well. However, after trying to sleep with it every night for two weeks, I quickly lost my enjoyment of it. I feel that it is just too big for my mouth. It may very well be a perfect fit for you, however .I felt that the quality of the product was fine, I just feel this is such a subjective type product that you have to try to know if it will work for you.

Your Teeth and gums will love you for it after a week.
I have been wearing teeth guard for eight to nine years. This is a very high quality one. One that you're not going to rip up in one or two months. I would recommend these to anyone. I love the little breather part in the middle. Helps keep your mouth drier than slobering everywhere. Their little difficult to wear at first. But once your mouth and gums adjust it will be fantastic. If you have a strong overbite it may hurt your teeth for a week. But after that your teeth and gums will adjust. Trust me give it a week you'll see the difference. You won't go back to the Walgreens Walmart specials.

Less jaw pain..follow the instructions and you will be fine
Directions seem to be a lot to do but they are very simple and very specific. You can remold if you do not like the fit. The guard is a little odd to get used to but has help tremendously on the jaw pain I was experiencing. I did wake up one night and found it in the middle of the bed. I guess while sleeping took it out? I don't remember but that was on the 2nd night I used it and has been easier each time I do use it. My husband says I do look like a football player since it does look bulky inserted.

Good, a bit big in the mouth
The product is good. Very trick to mold it in the mouth, as it has a hole for the holding piece. Not easy to get used to it, as not like most sleep mouth guard, it covers your teeth from the jaw as well. It feels a bit big in the mouth. But its a good product.

Worked to a point
After following the instructions carefully I ended up with a guard that fit reasonably well. The first night I wore it I woke up a couple of times with it out of place. In the morning I found it in the bed. I may try it again, but I am worried about it lodging in my throat.

Not worth your money
Instructions were easy to follow, but it was difficult to get a good fit and therefore I found it would fall out of my mouth while I was sleeping. Also, I didn't find it very comfortable to wear. I ended up buying a different 'boil & bite' nightguard and threw this one out :(
