Canoe Motor Bracket

This mount is very sturdy and install great The only complaint I have is that the motor mount is at 30 degrees or a little more I ended up drilling out the rivets and remounting it at a 90 degree angle Now it works great

This is probably the most adjustable and the strongest canoe motor mount I've come across (in computer searches). It was bought for me as a gift (so, I'm not sure where it was purchased from). But, I do not recommend it for one major design flaw; the motor mount block is at about a 45 degree angle (in the picture you can kind'a see that it is at an angle, or at least it is not completely vertical). This is a major problem, I'm not sure why it was constructed like this. My small Gamefisher outboard has 5 adjusting holes, and if a put it in the last one the motor is vertical. But, this leaves no room for adjusting it. (On the up-side it has felt solid and secure.)Many of the newer motors are not this adjustable, making this mount unusable. (Side-note: I plan on buying a new motor, and I'm going to built my own mount.)

This is the PERFECT bracket for a GRUMMAN canoe. We purchased one back in 1984 (our canoe in 1983) and over the past 2 years my husband rebuilt it with a metal piece BUT now we have found what we wanted. Exact same years later. Thank you. -bcz
