SCIENCE OF SLEEP Polar Foam Cool Memory Foam Pillow

I must be missing something. This pillow is no better than the same foam pillow I purchased at Wal-Mart for a FRACTION of the cost. Neither offers a COOLING effect. The Polar Pillow is just an over priced way over-priced foam pillow. I expected a cooling effect when using the pillow. No such luck. As for washing it, when the time comes, I dread doing so. I'm afraid it won't fit in the washing machine, and if it does, no matter how gentle the washing cycle, I feel that it will disintegrate. Why is it called a POLAR pillow. You would expect some sort of polar=cooling effect. No such thing. Are you suppose to put it in your freezer to cool it? Obviously it wouldn't even fit in a freezer. I keep reading about the soothing sleep effects from cooling the head, either a pillow or a "cooling" cap. Neither works. Trust me. I've been taken in by both. I would be better off using a simple bandana that is soaked, wrung out and placed in the freezer for a short period of time. In these especially tight economic times, being ripped off for the over priced "Polar" pillow is a true waste of money.

Hard as a rock to sleep on, gave me neck ache, shoulder ache and headache, I do not recommend it

I've purchased two of these pillows in the past, one for myself and one as a gift. They provide great neck/shoulder support and cooling properties for a hot, side sleeper. This one, however, was not like the other two. It was brownish yellow foam, not green; and it was soft, not firm. Basically, it was like any piece of foam mattress topper you can buy at Target for a couple dollars. The manufacturer and tags were the same as my other one, but the product was completely different. And for nearly a hundred dollars it certainly was not the product one would expect. Very glad Amazon handles returns the way they do, otherwise this would have been a lot of money out the window.

not at all happy with this product, my husband is paralysed and cannot move so a cool pillow was just what he needed unfortunately this pillow is not cool its the same as his memory foam pillow he already has.. and far to expensive

Extremely overpriced, and did not perform as described. Expected nice, cool comfort - did not happen. If I could have, I would have returned it. Don't waste your money!
