Use this book every day
I've had this book for a few months now and make 1-3 smoothies a day. We haven't tried every recipe but we've tried a lot. Some of our favorites are the grape slush, the ones that call for pomegranate juice (now a staple in our house), snickerdoodle, the vanilla honey nut that tastes exactly like a bowl of honey nut Cheerios, the watermelon slushies, and most of the ones with strawberry. There's enough variety that I don't really need to look up recipes on the Internet and plenty of ways to customize the liquid portion. The only one we really didn't like had broccoli in it and was gritty because our very heap blender couldn't break the broccoli down enough. The carrot juice smoothies are yummy, too.

Not that good
I got this book for my daughter as she loves smoothies. This book had most of their recipes with stuff you normally wouldn't buy. I was just looking for a basic recipe book.

Easy to find ingredients
I liked the variety of options that she presented, the healthy ingredients and how easy the recipes are. Someone said the ingredients are exotic but mostly they are found in my pantry as everyday items.

This book makes a great gift. Kids love it and parents love it too. I have given away more than twenty books . The pictures are colorful and appetizing. Beside creating delicious smoothies the recipes are easy to read and encourage healthy eating. Kids are also encouraged to learn fractions. No sugar is added to any of the recipes. Get your blender ready.

Not as healthy as I’d hoped
is it really accurate to say on the cover “no sugar-added” when about half of the recipes call for honey, maple syrup or juice? I was hoping for something a little healthier but these smoothies are generally, very, very sweet. Otherwise I’m enjoying it - my kids and I are working through it, leaving out the added sweeteners and substituting soy milk for the juice. I find I also have to reduce the solid stuff it calls for, like oats, because the smoothies often end up not having enough liquid. I do like the layout and pictures.

Yum!
Everything I've made has been yummy, however have learned that the under ripe bananas some recipes call for is too "green banana" tasting for my family, so I just substitute ripe bananas in those recipes. Lots of variety to get fruits and veggies in kids!

Love this book!
My 3.5yr old daughter has tried all of my Nutriblasts (the greener the better too!) since we got a Nutribullet last spring; however my 7yr old boy is far pickier and reluctant... So I ordered this to tempt them both to get more involved in the mornings choosing their own smoothies. I intend to use it as ice-pop ideas too, as my two love frozen smoothie in those silicone popcicle moulds.I've made a few so far, and all delicious and easy (especially the PB and Apple bedtime smoothie, for which I subbed cashew butter as it's just what I had to hand). All in all, a great little book to broaden your smoothie variety, for kids and grown-ups!
