Friends on Mushrooms

I was an Infected Mushroom fan for years before they put this album out. I eventually found and listened to Vol. 1 on YouTube, and it introduced me to both the Pegboard Nerds and Savant. I'm now a huge fan of both and have bought several Savant albums that I love. This deluxe version just bundles all the volumes of Friends on Mushrooms together into one delicious package, and there isn't a single bad song on here. Highly recommended for fans of Infected Mushroom and Savant.

I am a chaser a collector of various music that fit my taste, I am 63 years old, I know my music , I have purchased all of IM cd's over the years. this is now my favorite one, the quality of their creative sound has mellowed slightly to produce this. I consider to be their best achievement to date. I especially enjoy driving down the freeway with the sounds cranked !!!

These guys know what they are doing. The pieces in this collection show true skill in music development. I've listened to many different artists and few have the ability to give me the feelings these tracks have provided. There are progressions, digressions and many transitions that are expertly implemented, in ways that make me smile. Thanks for a great time.

This is a BOMB cd!!! Most of this is instrumental.

Another excellent showing by Infected Mushroom. They continue to make the music they want to make. I'm sure there will be one star reviews because this isn't The Gathering II, but don't let that dissuade you from another excellent IM album.

The first 3 songs on the album are just noise. I had to skip forward as they are not musical, groovy, "well played" or otherwise have any musical quality whatsover. Starting from Kipod onward the album has some listenable songs, nothing that would go in my music rotation or gather more than 3 out of 5 stars.

*laughs* but I can understand why..Let me be clear, I LOVE this album, but I got into IM because dear, dear Amazon dropped 'Army of Mushrooms' into my Recommendations, and who could resist that cover, man, I'd have bought that if it was St. Winifreds School Choir, but THAT'S my idea of how IM sound - the closest reference point (in my collection) is The Prodigys 'Invaders Must Die' and that's just dandy for me - I can always find time for some metal-inflected bangin' techno, and getting 'Return to the Sauce' and now this has solidified that sound AS Infected Mushroom, but from other reviews it seems like they used to be a lot more Trancey and Ambient and that'd be one Hell of a jump to this sound.It's like people who say :Ooh I love Genesis, Follow You Follow Me, Hold On My Heart" and it's only societal norms that keep your hands from closing round their throat.. so I bet you one star guys really hate me now, lol, but I'm going to go through their back catalogue like a rash, 'cos I'm also well up for some Psybient and for me they won't have changed into something I don't recognise or like.BTW: for diseased mycologists who like a bit of cd text, IM are happy to oblige; at least on the three I've got (see image)

Didn't do it for me, maybe too much external influences. I much preferred earlier mushroom trax. Too many friends spoil the broth...

One of the best albums of IM, vicious delicious and this album are well up at the top!
