Airforce® Holding Tank Vent Filter - Direct Replacement for Dometic Sealand SaniGard 5/8" Vent Hose with 3/4" GHT connectors

This filter works great and is half the price of the filter you can buy at most marine parts stores. We use it on our boats black water tank and it filters out the smell perfectly. I highly recommend it and the seller. Excellent product and service.

Comparing the Airforce filter to the Dometic Sealand ECO filter (which we have used in the past). The Dometic Sealand ECO uses less carbon to save manufacturing costs and claims it works better with the new filter shape that is narrow in the middle. The Airforce filter is a straight tube and holds more carbon to absorb more of the the odor. The Dometic Sealand ECO Filter also sends parts that you wont need. And if you have any other filter size than the 5/8” you are trapped into using their expensive filter going forward if you use their fittings. How is it ECO to throw away all those extra plastic parts you paid for? Dometic Sealand ECO requires assembly, its not plug ‘n play, it also uses o-rings, lose one, then what? Too complicated and too expensive and wasteful and in my opinion not very efficient. I have already been down this road with the Dometic Sealand ECO. Save your money and buy the Airforce filter.The Airforce filter, remove it from the box, thread the fitting on the ends and snap it in place. That's it! The Airforce filter stopped the odor immediately. If you want a great filter at a great price, fits perfectly and one that will work better and longer, I highly recommend Airforce filters.

Works well for my boat. Easy to install last about 6 months before a change

Used this on my 1989 Sea Ray 300 weekender. The original SAN X filter was still being used after 25 years. Needless to say it was not doing the job anymore. Installed this one in under 5 minutes! Works like a charm! Probably one of the easiest things I have done on my boat. Mechanically speaking. :)

It's still not clear to me what exactly is 5/8" (the I.D. of the tube?) and why that differentiates this from other models but this did replace my Sealand/Dometic filter just fine for a more reasonable price. I write the replacement date on the filter with a sharpie which is how I know it has been 3 years since I last changed it (which was too long). You know when it's time. The post flush odor was pretty bad. While I was at it I replaced the vacu-flush motor and bellow with the whisper quiet version which made a huge difference in noise level of the pump but that's another story.

Perfect replacement fit for prior installation at 66% of the cost. "Stars" reduced only because have to monitor to verify performance equivalent but would expect it to perform exactly as the initial installation and for the same period of time.

I've tried a few aftermarket filters in the same price range and always had that odor nobody wants after a flush, but not with the AirForce! I change out the filter every spring on my single head Vacuflush system. Save a little money and go with this one.
