Bowron Longwool Sheepskin Rug - Double - Ivory

One can surmise in reading a few pages of reviews on these Bowron Longwool Sheepskin Rugs from Navitz LLC that there are indeed some variation in sizes. When I ordered a Double Ivory it was with some expectations for possible variation in size. When it arrived I immediately broke out the measuring tape to find out how I fared with my order, my double was indeed smaller then the 2x6 advertised. It came in at nearly 8 inches short on length and two inches short on the width. I wrote Navitz LLC immediately and part of there response to the size delivered was: "Sheepskins are natural products and all sizes that advertised on Amazon are approximate." What I was not expecting and did not know based on other reviews was how important it is to Navitz LLC to keep their customer satisfied. They handled the matter very professionally and made suggested amends immediately. Its rare to find a company so enthused about customer satisfaction. You can buy with confidence from Navitz LLC, the Longwool Sheepskin Rugs are of high quality and more importantly the customer service is outstanding if any dissatisfaction should arise. Just keep in mind when ordering the sizes advertised on Amazon are approximate, however the quality of the product and customer service is very high making any variation is size easy to accept.

Two words for this product: tasteful opulence. I purchased two double pelts with reservations on the authenticity. Those doubts vanished when my German Shepherd instantaneously expressed interest in the unopened package. I only had it half opened before he plunged his oversized snout deep into the rugs. My pelts possess the real leather backing, no rubber grip as other customers have mentioned, which I prefer, as they can duel bed or floor now. They have the signature long, thick, crimped, elastic hair, which when you run your fingers through you can feel the natural clusters. Not as if I needed more proof but they passed the burn test, you can't mistake the smell of burning hair. They are also equipped with the original Bowron tags, including the "how to care" directions. The ivory is a warm, creamy white with a golden hue, depending on the lighting. I posted several pictures to corroborate my glowing review. I would not hesitate to purchase this product again. I am beyond satisfied with the quality, price, and the prompt shipping. Thank you NAVITZ for a phenomenal product at such an affordable price!

I was looking for a sheepskin rug for a while to cover a space next to the bed and either encountered low quality items or products too expensive to justify the purchase. This rug exceeded expectations...it is extremely thick with a nice backing, beautiful light ivory color, and well-constructed. In researching similar items there are often complaints of seams, non-matching pieces, and odor. I didn't encounter any of these. It's a luxurious rug that looks and feels much more expensive than it is. Customer service was also outstanding with this seller. (I know, I know...put it under seller feedback but given this isn't always the case it's worth noting for an item that is difficult to order sight unseen.) Beautiful rug!

I ordered two of these rugs, and one of them smelled like a mix between sweaty lamb and rotten egg. The other though--smelled great...no noticeable smell whatsoever. The rug itself is great quality and true to the picture, it is unfortunate though that I can't use both as the smell of the other one is unbearable and can easily make a person gag.

I ordered a single pelt rug and a double pelt rug for my bedroom. They shipped separately with both arriving within the estimated delivery time. I received the single pelt rug first and it was wonderful plush and long haired. The double was half as thick and short hair. Definitely not the same quality even though ordered from the same seller. Haven't decided if I will return double pelt rug yet.

We have a plush curly Lamby L7001 lambskin. This Bowron sheepskin has straight hair which is not even close in plushness / cushion. The hide is not tanned as soft either; that is the Lamby is closer to chamois-quality.I suppose that the difference might be that the Bowron is a floor rug and the Lamby is for laying a baby on it.Mom is 91 with bedsores, so the doctor said to get sheepskin. The Lamby single pelt is too small. I had to put two thick bedpads over the Bowron double pelt to make it work in mom's bed.The lamb's wool in footwear and winter wear is all curly. Does this mean that lamb hair is curly and sheep hair isn't?

I received the double size, ivory colored rug in the mail last week. I ordered it the week before, so shipping was very, very fast. I am absolutely in LOVE with this rug. It is beautiful, chic, and unbelievably soft. I can't describe how good it feels to walk on it barefoot or lay down on it. The rug is very, very soft and plush, it's just fabulous! It is a very high quality and the color is a beautiful ivory color. I plan on ordering the quatro size in the next couple of months. Love it!

I practice Kundalini yoga and teach it. I was looking for a double skin and I was apprehensive because the price was very low. When received it, I had to test it for my self to make sure it was real! It is, I love it, I have a small one I travel with and the double that I keep at the studio for teaching. It's just like the picture shows, beautiful and it's a natural product so there really is no 2 alike.Enjoy! Sat Nam!
