MTD Nutrition Astaxanthin 12 Milligram - 50 Veggie Capsules

I had no idea that these would fix a long-term illness. I was suffering a horrible sleep-disorder, dementia (getting lost, having conversations with people from my past, etc.), numbness, extreme muscle weakness, everything was a struggle! Spent years seeing neurologists. I literally bought these for eye and skin health (secretly hoping the grow some of my hair back) only. After 3 weeks I suddenly realized all of my symptom were gone! Just crept up on me. I also have an anemic cat who was close to death and probably a blood transfusion was his only option (iron supplements weren't helping that much). He had both really low white and red blood cell counts. After being on these for a week his energy started to come back and he became interactive again. Then I ran out....So thinking of going with the most popular and well-reviewed brand I bought Nutrex Hawaii astaxanthin instead. My energy levels hit bottom again, my cat lost all the progress he'd gained. I was so mad! After a couple more weeks of using the Nutrex Hawaii brand I decided to order MTD again. 3 days of switching back I started feeling normal again. Go figure. I take 24 mg a day and my cat gets 12 mg per day. I'm going to have to but 2 bottles, one for me and one for him.The reason for 4 stars is that some of the capsules in the MTD brand do not seem to be filled all the way. That's a major issue. Also, how cheap do you have to be to only sell 50 capsules instead of 60? Lot of companies are doing this and I can't figure out why. I'm on permanent disability and want to the get the most for my money. At least they're not as expensive as other brands, just wish they came in a 60 count instead of 50.

I been taking Astaxanthin from MTD Nutrition for 3 weeks and wasn't sure if it was working until a few days ago when I realized that reading product labels at the store were much easier for me. I have never needed glasses but the past 5 years my eye sight has slowly gotten worse, now reading in low light and night driving has improved. I also noticed that I can play basketball and workout longer with less fatigue and faster recovery afterwards .I've been on this earth for a half century and have been taking different supplements for the past 25 years and I can honestly say that this is one of the best. After doing research on Astaxanthin and its many benefits I decided to try the 12mg from MTD Nutrition, most companies are selling the 4mg version. Please be careful of lower quality Astaxanthin that's flooding the market, make sure it's derived from red algae from a reputable company. I will always have this supplement as part of my daily regimen from now on.

I received the product in a timely manner, my mom thinks that Astaxanthin is doing wonders for her health, she'es 75 and suffers from arthritis and varicose veins. She says that ever since she started taking astaxanthin she's been feeling just fine so I ordered some more, She still hasn't started on this brand that is new for us, which is why I can't give a specific review for this brand.

Kind of different form than I am use to, but seems to do the job. The product is evenly distributed in each capsule and very easy to consume. Absolutely no smell or after taste. So far so good.Update 4/3/2016: I bought more because I saw no different affects than with gelcaps. Seems to be doing the job for what I am looking for. Definitely would recommend!

I haven't been on this Astaxanthin very long but I truly like it. I give it 4 stars now..probably 5 later when it has been in my system for a few months. I like this brand because it doesn't have garbage filler sand it comes from a decent source. Looking forward in the next month to see other results :)

This is an important supplement, especially for preventing sun damage to your skin. It works almost like an internal sunscreen. I have always used the BioAstin, but this is a much lower price. It seems to be just as good. Oh, and its very kind to my old creaky joints.

I am glad to finally find a reasonably priced 12mg product that is vegetarian/vegan friendly. This is my second bottle from MTD Nutrition, and I am quite pleased. It works just as well as the higher priced versions. Customer service is great too. I have received several emails from them, making sure I am satisfied with the product as well as offering to answer any questions I have about the product. Top notch! Thanks for an affordable, gelatin free, effective product!

Does not seem to work as well as others this is a powder form in a cap. You take 1 cap a day. Other brands with liquid versions seem to work better for me and as a senior with the liquid versions I can see almost as well as youngsters.
