Exceeded My Expectations
This book exceeded my expectations. I first saw his works at the 2011 Pacific Coast Origami Conference in Bellevue WA, and liked his style of folding. I had been supportive of his prior publications, like his former Creased Magazine. This most recent publication combines both simple and challenging folds, something for every level of origami enthusiast. I tend to favor the more simplistic fold patterns, and this book was filled with such designs, more than what I expected.

Pretty and simple Modes, bad instructions
I have tried to make 3/4 of the models in the book so far,and i have found that some diagrams are wrong, some instructions are wrongand sometimes both in the same model!Im good at origami, and i can make the model if only the diagrams or only the instructions are badly written and depicted. But i found that some models are not possible to do due to both the diagrams and the instructions are wrong. That is not ok... i know there are some complex models in origami, and it is not the fault of the model but the person skills.. but when you cant fold a simple model because bad instructions, that is not good. The problems is that it seems the editorial and the author are waiting to the second edition to correct this mistakes, but what about the rest of the people who bought the book already? it would be nice if the corrections were public in his site already, it has been more than a year...I dont recommend this book for that reason, the models are interesting and simple, but what is the point???Carlos

One of the Most Awesome Origami Books Ever
Really great book. I initially found it in the bookstore but decided to get it from the library first to see if I liked it. It has some of the best folds ever. New ones as well as improvements on classics. A good mix of challenging and ridiculously complicated. A must for someone who really respects the art of origami.

bang on trend
This book is modern and bang on trend for paper crafting. There are many differant designs to choose from from easy to more difficult.Being an obsessive crafter and buyer of many books, i love this new fresh take on paper craft and origami.I get excited when i find something like this.Highly recommended by me!

Crease and Fold
Loved it. Easy to understand. I have some I haven't been able to figure out so far. I like the designs in this book.

lovely book :-)
His designs have a unique flare. I love his frog! I could fold 1,000! The directions for the base forms and types of papers are an excellent reference too.

Pretty & Pretty Badly Proofed
The nice thing is that the book is pretty--and has a lot of models that could be loads of fun to fold. The problem is, however, that it uses drawings for all of the diagrams, and this means you have such enjoyable effects as what one reviewer elsewhere called the 'ambiguous' directions for the Storage Box with Lid. It's not ambiguous. You physically cannot get what the diagram for step 8 depicts as the expected result from step 7, and it is a complete mystery how you do what step 8 wants to get the completed box.The picture provided is very pretty, but provides absolutely no clues whatsoever as to what the problem with the directions actually is; all it is possible to say is that the final picture in the direction does seem to match. How, exactly, you are supposed to get to this state is apparently in the realm of Fermat's last theorem: a problem left for the reader, with the horribly mistaken assumption that it is obvious. The cover model is slightly less bad in its directions--I can see what some of the other people here have had as a problem with it. It's not impossible to figure out what to do from the diagrams, but it certainly isn't at all easy to understand. It's not quite as significant a problem--ambiguous actually does look to apply here--but it's still not really one to be having in an origami book that's supposed to be of projects anyone can make.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful!
I love this book...it's different from most origami books because it doesn't read or feel like a craft book. Instead, it's like your taking lessons from a real origami master. It's almost like a big beautiful cookbook, telling you how to create great flavors, but letting you make each piece your own. It's also well written, which is a big plus because most origami books/instructions aren't. The diagrams are helpful, but the great photos and descriptions are moreso. Highly recommend, especially for intermediate to advanced folders. May not be great for beginners, but the photos and models are inspiring, so it could inspire someone inexperienced to practice, practice, practice.

Crease and fold and repeat
Book is a great book, seller faultless, although the book isn't what I hoped it would be. I am getting into making origami balls and there is only one in the whole book. Boohoo! Looks like I'll have to extend my origami to other items...

Disappointing level of detail
I inherited a copy of "Making" magazine which had instructions for the sakura ball shown on the cover of this book. I found the instructions in the magazine good for the individual elements but hopeless for putting the thing together, so ordered the book in the hope it would give more than "make 30 of these and put them together". It did not. It's been returned.

This is one of favourite origami books
This is one of favourite origami books. Yes the representations can be simple and a couple are very difficult but they are all possible to fold with patience. Not made for beginners at all but an excellent book

Crease and fold
Interesting but not quite what I expected. Thought it would be more useful for cardmaking, Will keep for reference but would not have bought from a bookshop if I had been able to browse,
