I purchased a 16x24 pillow cover from H&M, and I was not sure what size insert to buy. I have read online that the insert should be 2 inches larger than the case in order to fill out the cover, so that the pillow doesn't look flat, however I could not find a pillow insert that was 18x26 in order to fit that rule. Instead of searching for a pillow insert that was 2 inches larger on each side, I decided to just buy this insert that is exactly 16x24, which is the exact same measurements as the pillow cover I purchased. I am glad that I did, because it is the perfect fit. I read a ton of reviews first, but many of the reviews did not give measurements of both the insert they bought as well as the cover they intended to put it in, so I wanted make sure to leave a review stating both of those numbers in case there is any one out there with the same problem I had. Just to clarify, the 16x24 insert is the perfect fit for a 16x24 pillow cover. You do not need to size up the insert in this case.

I ordered this size to go in decorative pillow shams but they don't actually fit

It is made of polyester, fits well for my sofa pillow case (size: 40x60cm).
