About the Author Ken Hanna is a Lebanese South African, and has Lebanese Citizenship. He is Author of the Book “People of the Cedars: a 20th Century Insight into the Lebanese South African Community”, Edited by Father Charbel Habchi of the Lebanese Maronite Missionaries, 2011. He is the recipient of three World Awards: In 2007 he was honoured by the World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU) with the Golden Emigrant Award, in Brazil. In 2014 he received an award from the Lebanese Emigration Research Centre (LERC) at the University of Notre Dame, Beirut for documenting Lebanese history in South Africa. In 2016 he was named Lebanese Man of the Year by the Lebanese Heritage Foundation. Vancouver, World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU). Ken has visited Lebanon, Syria, Israel and Egypt.
