Switch needs to be place in different spot.
The only problem with this is the on/off switch is so far down the cord. I used this and half a globe to make my son a lamp for loft bed but the switch is closer to the outlet than it is to his bed. The end result, I'm still turning off his light before I go to bed. But it beats hacking it and adding my own switch!
