No, the one side of the cable is unbelievable large and only fits this headset.

Do you need a mix amp to use this? Or can you also plug it into a controller?

If your controller has the 3.5mm jack in it then yes it will plug in and work. You just don't have the ability for volume control/eq settings.

Hopefully you purchased this within the 5 years you asked from, but yes, it is 4 pole (shorter) 3.5mm to plug into your device and 3.5mm 5 pole (little bit longer) to fit into the astros.
