Yes, I will use this to store breast milk to feed my 15days old baby. You should clean thoroughly using detergent and bottle brush rinse it till the detergent is completely gone and dry it after each use.

What kind of material does the cap use?

Hello. Polypropylene is the material for the cap. Kindest Regards.

Does cap have an airtight liner?

This bottle will not come with a cap. Frustrating for sure but you have to buy those separate. You can get them on amazon. I bought a set of 4 because just one is more expensive. To answer your question though, there is no liner and none is needed. The cap has a flare that seals to the glass.
