Worked great but the wires are super thin

I came into possession of an old reflector telescope with a motorized tripod head. The original battery pack for 8xAA batteries was very poor in quality and the wiring was becoming touch and go with it. I purchased this pair to splice the connector to this battery pack. It was a simple process, great value for a pair, and all in all highly recommended.A little story. The telescope tripod has nowhere to place the battery pack, and the cable isn't long enough to lay on the floor or keep in my pocket. While operating the telescope the battery pack slipper from a notch I was keeping it on, on the tripod. The pack fell with enough weight and force it ripped one of the original cables off from within the battery pack. I began to remove the batteries when I noticed I could pop off a cover where the wires went into. This battery pack is very simple and well made for you to solder new cables to if they happen to rip off or suffer some other unexpected problem. I'm happy to report that because of that I was able to repair the wiring and not end up losing one of the two packs. That alone made my day and this product so much more worth it.

Quick and accurate

As advertised, and good for my task. One of the two cases had a tab broken off before packaging for shipment (the broken piece was not inside the sealed shipping bag) but it doesn't affect my use of the case.

Worked as needed. the screw to hold the lid in place was a nice touch as this was going onto a costume.

Do you need 12 volts for something? Do you want to supply it with AA's? Then you're in luck.I have gotten these for two seperate projects.One I powered the cargo light in the camper shell of my truck on one. I'm bad about leaving things on so I didn't want to wire it into my truck battery. The product worked and I've bought enough AA's from leaving the light on that Duracell sends me Christmas cards. So the product holds up decently well.Two I made a display box for my wife to put one of her uranium glass pieces in. I put 12volt led strip black lights in it. She can move it to wherever she wants and display the peice she chooses without dealing with a plug in power supply.

Not durable enough to put on a motorized bike. Which was my plan. Changed batteries once and dropped and it was utterly useless

Very nice well made product - ( 8 Typical AA = 12 volts ) - ( 8 rechargeable AA = 9.6 volts ).This pack like most is set up for series - volts added up = ( number of batteries x volts of each battery ).All information given in description. Unit is black plastic w/metal parts, wire, and contacts.
