Received today. Purchased this for &5.99 & the other also delivered today I paid $11 for. Both are exact same item in exact same box and both works great.... used on several chestnuts

Cheap, cheap, cheap. I didn't try on chestnuts, but didn't work on most nuts. Walnuts yes, but my husband cracks them with his bare hands so... It did crack a pecan, but just in half mostly and then you have to still crack it more or pick it out with something. Messy too. But it clearly wouldn't last long since the metal was bending and coming loose after 4 nuts (2 of which it wouldn't crack). I returned them because they were not at all good enough for even a little cheap gift

With a hard nut the handle can deflect and if not careful pinch your hand

I bought it to have an easy way to crack open mixed nuts that I buy at Christmas time. I used it maybe only 2 or 3 times. It was used only once or twice by family members. The last time I used it one of the inside pieces that helps crack the nuts actually popped right out. It's all metal, so I can't fix it. So I just spent 12 bucks for nothing.

Very poor product. Not engineered to work after using on more than 6 chestnuts. Beyond poor design, rough finish and edges can cut your skin

Does not work well with smaller nuts

The nutcracker worked great for three uses and the chestnuts baked perfectly. Unfortunately on the fourth use the blade assembly came loose from the four tiny welds that hold it in place in the utensil. This renders it useless. A shame since it looks good and worked well. Just junky quality we guess. Assume it will last for only a few uses.

I bought chestnuts in order to use my brand new chestnut clip. I had done about ten and then the teeth broke off. It’s now in the garbage. Not a good product
