I was looking for something with which to brew loose tea just a mug/cup at a time. After reading positive reviews and responses to questions by other customers I decided to try this simple tea infuser. It's really a wonderful, high quality infuser, which nests perfectly inside a standard mug (though it can be used in a larger container)...and the "wings" or handles on the side (which will fold down for storage) keep it right where it is supposed to be during the steeping. The cap or cover/top has a double function, first to keep the heat in during steeping, and, second, as a place to rest the wet infuser full of wet tea leaves after brewing but before cleaning up. I love this little thing, and actually drink more of my wonderful "exotic" teas now that I can brew easily, neatly, and thouroughly. Great buy!!!

I'm headed off to babysit the grands for a couple weeks and will be the only coffee drinker so don't want to make a pot of coffee just for me in the morning. I gave the basket a test run yesterday and it worked great. I used some paper basket liners that I have for my Keurig and although they weren't quite tall enough the liners make clean-up easier. I haven't used it yet for tea yet but will probably try since I have some loose tea on hand. I like the folding handles since they streamline it for storage and for packing. Since I'm going to Africa and luggage space will be tight, I'm happy for this feature. It's just what I was looking for.

With the two extended hands, I am able to sit this on many different cups and pots for brewing. Tea is best when it is freshly made, this has a big capacity so I can make quite a bit in a short time. I also found out that if I got rid of the silicone ring on the lid, the lid can go on really tight and I am able to just throw spices into this strainer then into a 8 qt pot and make lots of winter spiced flavored tea. The holes on the strainer is tiny so any tea or spice will not come out of it. Very handy tool in the kitchen.

It steeps my herbal elderberry tea from Elderberry Co so well! The strainer is strong with superfine holes that somehow still allow water flow perfectly. The lid is so handy for both keeping heat in the strainer during steeping, and holding the strainer when you want to set it down without cleaning it right away. The folding handles are a real space saver. I intend to use this on lazy days to make coffee too, when I do not want to use a whole coffee press. Excellent product. One note...I do not believe that the handles will fair well if this is washed in the dishwasher. I think the pivot points may rust. That is just an opinion though, and not based on any experience. My advice would be to hand wash.

I've been wanting to try loose leaf tea for a while, although i never liked the options i saw for the strainers till i saw this model.It is very effective large enough to easily add tea and to clean when done. Best tea strainer I’ve ever gotten. I tried a similar kind with fine mesh, but it got stained and over time it didn’t strain the tea anymore. I’m glad I found this kind without the fine mesh. The holes are still small enough to filter out even roiboos and other fine teas! Super easy to clean. I throw it in the dishwasher. The handles are very useful too! Fits a wide variety of cups and it’s deep enough to leave some room for milk!

It's a little flimsy but the big problem is that the holder is not deep enough to set into the bottom of a mug for a full extraction.

So glad i went with this one for my loose tea. works very well, easy to clean, handle stays completely cool and cap handy to place strainer.
