Impressive hood!
Very pleased with the hood! Purchased for a new home, selected to go with our Cafe matte black appliances and for its cfm rating. Happy on both fronts. Matches perfectly, moves serious volume of air, addresses any smoke and odors from cooking. SS grates remove and install easily for cleaning.

GREAT GREAT VALUE - EXTREMELY PLEASED
This product looks fantastic in our kitchen (have to now complete tile work where we removed microwave) Very easy install - unit works great when cooking steak in cast iron pans - pulls smells and smokiness from room quickly. It is a bit loud on highest fan setting - underside lights are very bright — No regrets so far -

Works great. Hard to install.
After a couple of mods because I didn't catch a small detail: this Haulane model doesn't fit a 12-in.-deep cabinet! My cabinet over the stove where the old GE MW/Vent was removed is 15-in. deep, which leaves a 3-inch gap in the front. Hard to explain. The installer had to move it forward 3 in. and fill a gap behind the hood. It worked out fine, and although the unit extends out to the front of the stove, it looks fine and much better than looking at the old gigantic chrome MW. A cheaper, light-weight Broan install by a Lowes or an HD contractor is about $230-$250. With the difficult install plus the mods to move it forward, cost about $500. If your cabinet is 12 deep, then that saves you about $200 not having to do the mod. Hauslane had a comment about the 15 inch issue, but it was essentially hidden in one short sentence. If you have a 15 in deep, then buy another unit that fits. But I have to say, it is quiet, very nice looking, and well made, and our kitchen looks so much better.

High CFM in a beautiful package
This is a 860cfm range hood so it will clear smoke out quickly. Installation was fairly standard compared to any range hood. It is loud but most range hoods are 350-450 CFM. This hood is almost double that which means low on this hood sounds like high on most other hoods and high is even louder. The led lights are bright and can be changed. I believe the two one star reviews about it being white instead of stainless steel is user error. The range hood comes covered in white plastic to keep the stainless steel from getting scratched during shipping. All good quality hoods that are stainless do the same thing and you just peel off the white plastic before installing. Will update this review once we have used the hood for 6 months to see how it holds up. Update 8.23.23 : Hood is still working the same as day 1. Would say the only thing that could be a problem is how loud the vent is. It works for us since we rescue dogs that have storm and loud sound problems. We leave it running almost all the time on low to cover sounds of storms.

Not as good as my first thought
The delivery of this product takes for a long time compare to other online purchase. I decide to select this range hood is because its powerful suction ability and the video shown on its AD that multiple plastic cups can be sucked. But after the installation, it cannot demo the same results. I put some paper stripes along the side and I did not see much movement even when I set it to the highest power level. This range hood was installed along with new duct work with all metal pipes, I make sure the damper is fully opened when it work, but it demos the results as what the video show. It does suck the cooking soot and stream during the cook time, and I did notice that the smell of the cook is largely reduced. Another thing that it is very hard to install, unless properly tools are used. And the method that using 6 screws to hold the range hood on the cabinmate directly is too bad. If it is light, that's OK, but it is heavy. This is a design problem. The outside steel shell looks not that strong, when I received it I can see some dent on the top surface. And this surface will be used to hold the whole body of the range hood.

Nice, good performance, bear to install, heavy
It works great, not suck cups up great but evacuates all the smoke we can make. Not overly noisy, expected, I want suck noise. Cons: It is very heavy, poorly written instructions on how to install, screws are to long and penetrate cabinet, should provide bolts, and worse, should provide paper schematic where holes need to be drilled and vent tube needs to be cut. I used three people to lift this in to place three times before we could finally mount. Unsat.

Best value!
This is a great hood! It is quiet, but it is also powerful. The higher the speed, the less quiet. Installation is not for the novice. I am extremely satisfied with this hood!

Nice but weird control
*TLDR = nice blower, too powerful for me, but better too much power and not use it. Weird controls. This thing is a monster. If I put it in full power, I have to open a door to let enough air in. It’s loud too at full blast! I use speed 1-2 almost every time, 3-4 when things goes south, did not use 5-6 except to test it out. The things that bugs me is the control. The power button is like a main switch, and when you want the blower, it starts at the speed it was when you put the main power off. The timer is on the main switch, so if you still want the light but 5 mins on fan, this won’t do it. When the timer ends, everything shuts off. The “buttons” do not respond well every time, but not a nuisance, just “hem, did I touched it?” The finish is easy to clean, the install went well, I was alone by the way. (Was heavy but not overwhelming) this one have a 120v plug on the cable, you don’t have to hardwire it. I do not regret it anyways, not by a long shot

Not the easiest to install, but worth it.
Looked at a few different places for a good looking range hood. This was the best style/price combination found. Cheapest on Amazon. Fan looks, functions and operations beautifully. The only unknown variable is longevity. Cons: Install hardware. Biggest suggestion to the manufacturer is switch from screws to bolts. During install, you have to leave the mounting screws half out in order to ensure the washer drops into the mounting brackets. Once all 4 are in the bracket you are then tasked with tightening the screws to pull the hood flush underneath the cabinet. However in order to reach the screw heads to do this, you have to disassemble the unit in order to get access. Easy solution would be, switch to bolts with washers and locknuts/nuts. This would allow the person to pull the hood snug by tightening the nuts accessible from within the cabinet.
