I initially reviewed this product with only 3 stars due to the contacts failing after 1-year [see text below]..... but I re-examined the cable's contacts and was surprised to find that a simple cleaning resolved the issue. In conclusion: great cable construction, connector housing, and connector contacts - solid performance with daily use (by 4 kids with phones) over 1 full year !!!Family of 6 with iPhones/iPods - we use these cables to charge the devices. It lasted one year and then the cable died..... the cable, the cable savers/connector are still in excellent condition and are/were wonderful but the contacts on the connector (lightning side) are dead..... greatly worn away copper in the middle of the connector. This is a big shame...... I would hope that the cable would last longer but perhaps one year of daily use isn't too bad and all that one can expect on such a connector (due to friction of insertion/removal).

Decided to get this cable to pair with a red dual output metal jacket cigarette lighter charger. Picked red for both to lessen the likelihood of forgetting them in a rental car while travelling. Used the combo to keep our assortment of devices charged while driving during the day and camping at night. Our other cigarette lighter chargers are able maintain or barely increase the charge while our phones are being used in GPS mode. This pair was able to fully charge two phones while both were being used. Cotton cord jacket should increase durability. Haven't tried with syncing since it's being used for travel charging.

These work great.I have purchased 4 of these for my grandkids. They work great to charge their iphones and Ipads. I have one, too, and it is very quick. My sister was visiting and has a different Iphone (mine and kids are 5S) and it worked fine on both her phone and older Ipad. The kids have their charger around the house and also at their dads house, because they never think to charge their devices until they are almost dead. I love the color in the braiding because it makes it easier to tell an apple cord from others.

Great quality cable; I love the connectors and the feel of the cable, it exudes the feeling of expensive, while being a great value at the same time. I have tried all types of iPhone cables as I have had every iPod and iPhone from the first click wheel 5 GB model through the latest 6S Plus. While this is not the best cable I have purchased, it also is not the price I paid for that ultra premium cable either, and for all I know this one might outlast that one. You will be happy with what you get for your money in this bargain.

Bi-directional USB plug is nice, but it fits too tightly into most devices/receptacles. The cloth exterior is also nice, but I would prefer a little less wire rigidity, as it can easily get in the way.UPDATE: While using this in my car, the lightning tip snapped off inside my iPhone. My phone was resting in the cup holder next to my arm. I moved my arm and it hit the plug, but not quickly nor with a great amount of force. It snapped right off and I had to buy another one. It should not have been that easy to break off, especially when the plug itself is metal - you'd think it would be a bit more resilient.

Overall, I'm pleased with the cable. I like the fabric coating and the two-way USB plug is great.The product loses a star because the lightning plug housing that goes into the phone leaves almost, but not quite enough length to plug in the cable while the phone is in its case. This is especially galling since my case is very thin and should pose no difficulties in getting the plug to make the connection.

Ordered two of these. One works perfectly fine while the other one does not fit properly and will not charge my iPhone. I will be returning the faulty one. 4-stars since, I guess it is a hit-or-miss with off brand cables. So, if you buy these, make sure they are shipped by Amazon. Once they have arrived, verify they work, else return the faulty ones

This is your cable. It works. It's good for the car. And it's strong. Stronger than most cables. If your passenger got all aggressive you could use this cable to strangle them. Then plug it back in for more on the go charging. If you have stuff in between your toes you can use this cable to grind it out like floss. Let's see other cables do that. They can't. They lack proper tooth but this cable has what you need. Buy it.
