117500 Lamb Ametek Motor

I own an older central vacuum system, the Nutone CV556. After 14 years of every single day use, several times per day, the motor finally gave out.I researched and found the BEST PRICE here at Central Vacuum Sales. I received the motor in only a few days, packaged with care.My boyfriend hooked it up and it runs beautifully! YEA! I'm so happy to have my vacuum back!On a side note; Immediately after installing the motor the unit wouldn't run and I got really nervous thinking I purchased the wrong motor. After a Google search we discovered that it was 1 of 2 things; either a short in the low voltage wiring or a bad relay.My boyfriend checked the wiring and it was fine so I went ahead and purchased a relay. He installed it and everything started up good as new! So, if your motor goes and your unit doesn't start up after you install the new motor, check these 2 things.It's been 2 weeks and all is well! Thanks to CVS for the fair price and the super fast delivery!

Our central vacuum motor went out on us and needed a new one. When we called the technicians, they told us it would be roughly $1200 for the repair. We decided to order the motor and repair it ourselves. Total cost for us to remove and re-insert 5 screws was less than $200. Thing works better now than it has in years.
