Great Flavor, Too Delicate to Mail
Look, these mooncakes were never meant to be mailed long distances. They arrived with flakes everywhere and a few were jostled so badly the pastry layers lifted clean off the filling. One other annoying thing is that they are packaged with one plastic sleeve over all six nestled mooncakes so for the week that we ate them, I'd pull out the tray and then wrestle it back into the plastic to keep it as fresh as possible. No matter. These are delicious. If you're a fan of this style of mooncake, you know what's up and you won't be disappointed. I wasn't.For newcomers, these are extremely flaky and are filled with a lightly-sweet mung bean paste with occasional bits of salty onion, which gives it a savory sweetness. Great with tea.

Wished it was individually packed
This was meant to be a mid-autumn festival gift, but will be keeping these for myself and find an alternative gift. Great tasting mooncakes, but super crumbly. Flavor is hard to find locally, so I was happy to see it could be shipped! They didn’t arrive in the condition I had hoped.

AVOID!! Genuinely awful, tastes horrible, ALL CRUMBS
I like mung bean mooncakes. I have enjoyed the many times in Southern California specifically the ones that come from Lee’s sandwiches. However, these? Not only do they taste foul, (actually the taste reminds me more of green beans than mungbeans),, but they were actually in crumbs. There was nothing cake-like about them and no way to give them as gifts either. The packaging is perfect but the actual cakes have been destroyed in shipping. No great loss, I tasted the crumbs and had to scrape my tongue. AVOID THESE, SAVE YOUR $$!!I have never said this before, but if I could give zero stars, I would.😑 Very disappointed, is anybody near Lee’s Sandwich shop that could mail me some good ones? 🤢

All the pastries are covered with molds
Every piece of the pastries is covered with molds. I need to throw all of them into trash can.

price is high, but it tastes good.
Taste petty good, not very sweet. But it's very expensive.
