i cant stop listening to this cd
i am still fairly new to the donna's music the only other cd i own is "spend the night" and while that cd is catchy and rocks hardbitchin is like that cd fully realized. all the songs are catchy and will be stuck in your head long after you turn the cd off. (trust me i know."save me" is especially hard to stop hearing) if you love the donnas and female rock bands in general (id say they are more like "veruca salt" than a harder metal band like "kittie") get this cd it rocks hard.

It's time for rock to be reborn
I know there are a lot of big rock bands out there: Muse, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Strokes keep the flame alive. But when it comes to fun rock n'roll, it's The Donnas the band that's got the flag. This time they take everything they loved and made an album that sounded like it.If you're feeling the urge to have something new to fill your dose of Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe or The Runaways, give this foursome a try. Bitchin' is the CD your life will get away with. The opener will rock you like a devil out of hell. It's one of the best intros ever. Really. Short, aggresive and catchy. Bang! You're there to feel the arena-anthem called 'Don't Wait Up For Me'. Oh, I just love that song. But 'Wasted' and 'Better of Dancing' are my two favorites. They sound fast and sexy, hazardous and poppy. Haha. It's so great to have them back.I'd love to catch them on tour. These songs will sound so good with a beer and a pair of jeans that I almost envy you americans for having the luxury of seeing The Donnas live.

Great highway music
I just bought the CD a few days ago and I'm beginning to think that this is my favorite Donnas CD. I drive 45 miles to work and I have been cranking this CD the past few days. With the exception of maybe 1 song (I'm not a huge fan of "Here for the Party" it seems to plod along for a song with that name)the CD rocks from front to back without skipping. Sure it may not have "the" single or two that say "Spend the Night" had but I'd say it is definitely a better overall album. Kudos. I love this album! It sounds like a lost 80's hair metal album fell to Earth.

excellent bitchy hard rockin from the girls
The donnas always could make some bitchy songs that rocked and were still fun for guys to jam too, so it was appropriate that they put out a cd called "bitchin' which this import version is. It has a extra track on it too which is why you will pay more than the u.s. version. The songs here are good rockers (melodic metal or punk flavored hard rock take your pick) and the disc rocks. It's not perhaps as excellent as the four previous discs but it's still great rock and roll party music with some songs having that 'attitude' that the girls throw down. To be fair when they are putting down a guy it's usually a guy that's self absorbed probably so all is fair in love and war. This one is worth having for hard rock fans and donna fans too but like I said it has fewer stand out songs like the previous four cd's they put out. Still these girls should be all over the radio and there's at least one song on here that could have been a top forty hit so if you want this one and want a hard rockin party disc then you can grab this one. I would say though that for new donna listeners grab 'turn 21' or 'skintight' first.

Awsome album!
This album along with "Greatest hits" has been in my player since I bought it. If you're a fan of 80's music with emphasis on the earlier hair metal and pop metal, you'll love this album. It combines equal parts edgier lyrics, heavier sound, and much improved production values to create an amazing album overall! Another thing this album has that seems to be overlooked a lot these days is it's flow, and by that I mean from beginning to end you won't feel the need to skip around. Every song feels like it belongs where it is in the album.

One of my favorite albums of all time
I love female rock musicians and am a huge fan of The Runaways and L7. But nobody beats the Donnas. All their album are amazing. This is probably my favorite though.I even have a tattoo of the Donnas logo from this album. That's how much I love them.I really wish they'd do another album and tour. It's been so long. Please do another album!!!

headed in new directions
The Donnas always used to stir comparisons to the Ramones. Simple chords, basic lyrics and sharing the same name will do that, and I never thought that was a fair comparison. Well, it's also inaccurate now as the Donnas have gotten heavy metal on us, or at least headed in that direction. Sort of like the Lunachicks but without the foul mouthes. Gone are the covers featuring the cute little girls. Instead we got a leather covered rear end and a heavy metal font. I'm OK with bands growing and changing, and the songs on Bitchin are a bit of an evolution over petty high school jealousies. But I wish they would have stayed pure rock.

Riffs from the get-go: A stonkingly good rock album!
The Donnas prove that they're one of the most consistent and talented female rock acts around with this next evolution of their sound. If you've heard Gold Medal then this moves on from that more mature sound to provide an even stronger collection of well-crafted tracks. Heavier and more intense than before, some tracks are darker and reveal completely new areas to their repertoire. But the best thing is that with all this development they still haven't lost any of that old appeal. The spiky, suggestive and witty lyrics and one-liners are still there. With this the Donnas have, for me, finally succeeded in losing the last aspects of immaturity and become a complete, and at the same time outstanding good, rock band. Keep an eye out for the card with the activation code in this limited edition as it allows digital downloads of the songs and also a bonus track from their website!

Full on rock
I must admit it has taken me a while to get into this band. This CD is the best so far. They are loud, brash, they have attitude and they rock. They are very accomplished musicians and the lead singer is full on. The guitar riffs are hardcore as is the bass and the drummer is pounding away.

Superb!
First came across the Donnas with the brilliant "Spend the Night" album, this is every bit as good. Lots of nods towards other bands - not least AC/DC and Def Leppard. But all in their own style. An excellent album from an excellent all girl rock group!
