The Best Preparations
It's been a few years since I did a job search and prepared for a new round of interviews. Something was missing and I couldn't get my credentials together with the professionalism I wanted to present to employers. Then I remembered that the best time I was prepared in the past was when I used Knock 'em Dead 2000. Now I'm on the right track and I can feel and see the difference as I update my professional brand by following Martin Yate's directions. One thing I didn't like was that I had a hard time finding executive assistant guidance, but using the TJD, I'm pulling those items together. I've already shared my books with attorneys and an intern in my office. I've also shared my books with my kids who are out of college and undergrads.

Read over and over again
I went through several interview books before deciding on KED. I have checked various versions of this book out of the library in last 3-5 years. I like to read a book several times to get the most out of it. Now I can reread this book without needing to run to the library. The chapters are well laid out, the explanation is clear, and the read is easy. What helped me most are/were the situational questions.

"The Ultimate Job Search Guide" fully justifies its title!
This book served as an invaluable resource in my transition from academic to "real" job market.First, I used Target Job Description (TJD) exercise to understand, which skills I need to have/advertise and which topics are hot.Second, I worked through the behavioral interview part, writing a short story in response to each question.Third, I learnt to write strong cover letters, which get noticed.Fourth, well... I got a job!

Great Resource!
This book is a great resource for any professional looking to gain a competitive edge in the job market. I utilized some of the interview strategies from this book to help land a sweet job. At the very least, this book is worth a read for any serious professional looking to take that next step in their career.

Knock'em Out of the Ballpark!
By far the most comprehensive book covering the employment seeking process. Great resume writing tips along with several tough interview questions and how to answer them. If you want the edge on others, buy it, read it, and use these techniques. So glad my professional resume writer shared this gem with me.

I would recommend it
It had some great tips that really helped me during my interviews. I would recommend it for any first time job seekers and seekers who are a little rusty with their interview skills.

Excellent!
This book is written in a clear easy-to-follow way, with many up-to-the-minute tips for job seekers. I am older and re-entering the job market, and really appreciated the suggestions in the book and on the associated website on how to craft an eye-catching resume and LinkedIn profile that will rate highly in keyword searches.

neither bad nor good
A good book but I did not find what I was looking for. The book is lacking of clear samples. I am a visual learner so it was difficult for me to apply the tips and tricks of the book

An inspirational ready every time!
Very helpful book! It provides useful exercies to work through on various aspects of job hunting. I get really inspired when I read it and have always found Martin's book inspirational, but realistic and logical. Have been reading them for over 10 years now.
