It is functional. Does what it is supposed to do.

I was impressed with the quality of the Oven Rack Puller from Happy Home Basics. The wood is smooth and feels substantial in your hand, making it easy to maintain a good grip on it during use. Last night I gave it the ultimate test. I was using the bottom oven of my double oven range and cooking in my Lodge enameled cast iron Dutch oven (which is extremely heavy with no food in it). Anyone with this type of oven knows, when pulling the rack out to check on the progress, one has to stand back from the open door which is touching the floor while in the open position and bend forward to grip the oven rack. Not only is this an awkward position but I have burned my arm numerous times due to the angle of my arms when reaching for the pan. The Oven Rack Puller is an excellent remedy to this problem. Since it extends your reach by a foot, your arm does not come close to the oven walls and prevents an unwanted accident. I was able to easily grip the oven rack and smoothly pull it out, and then push it back in with the Oven Rack Puller. I would highly recommend this product due to the quality and usefulness. This is one of the few products still made in the USA sadly.. I love to support my home country when looking to buy something! We loved our rack puller. It kept me from having to use my flimsy pot holders to try and pull the rack out. Then when finished it aided I'm pushing the rack back in!Thanks so much I will be suggesting your products to my family for the holiday season!

Really great product! I am one of those people who's always grabbing for a spatula or wooden spoon to pull out the oven rack when I'm cooking, especially with pizza! Little did I know, there's a tool for that! The great thing is there's a hook for pulling and a notch for pushing. The wood is very sturdy and good quality, not the least bit flimsy. I like this oven rack puller. I have had a chance to use it now for a couple weeks, and I must say it's a handy little bugger.It feels great in the hand, allowing a feeling of control. I've used it on a number of occasion, and appreciate the extended reach it gives me. I have a habit of reaching in to the oven to fast, and this gives me the perfect distance to see my food, yet keep my face safely away from the heat. As for its construction, it's a solid piece of wood that will last a lifetime. You would probably have to put some oil on it over the years but, hey, how many things today will actually last a lifetime. I love to bake but I'm the classic clutz who always manages to burn herself every holiday season on the oven racks! Now, I can safely insert and remove my cookies, cakes, and casseroles without fear of burning my arms or hands by using the Oven Rack Puller Pusher Handle when I need to pull out or push in my oven rack. The Handle is so sturdy in my hand and I have no fear that it won't do exactly what is says it will do. It's made out of high quality wood and the craftsmanship is just beautiful, and bonus - it's made in the USA!
