Almost as good as my professional ones, but better in that it costs a LOT less. Better than other $40 ones we had before these, that were ugly to look at and ugly in sound.Only 4 stars because my pro ones talk to one another so you only set one side and the other gets the message too.

The Life Ear does not provide the sound wanted or needed, and the background noise is aggrevating.

After 2 months: I have waited two months as to give an accurate evaluation. The short and sweet of it is "A Great Product". I have severe hearing loss in my right ear due to a medical condition (Mainers dieses) NOTE: the devise will not reduce the ringing in your ear. But with that being said, the devise functions as well if not better than one I had paid a few thousand $$ for several years ago. It is very light weight and easy to adjust the settings. There are two settings that amplify all sounds and two that filter out background sounds. Simply hold one of the two adjusting buttons down until you hear 1, 2, 3, or 4 beeps indicating which filter setting is best for conditions you are in. It's also easy to increase or decrease the volume with the same button, just pushing once to up or down the sound level. I had great support from the company answering a question about different size plastic tubing that go into the ear portion. Don't spend thousands of dollars without first checking out this LifeEar devise first.

I am disappointed with it. I bought it for my brother to be able to hear in Church. He used it for a few Sundays, and it just quit working one Sunday. He cleaned it and kept batteries in it, but it still won't do anything.

Ordered this devise after my Oticon failed. I decided to get this LifeEar as a backup while waiting for the Oticon to be repaired. Now I have been using LifeEar for 2 days and so far it is almost as good as my expensive Oticon. I say almost because there is a little more squeal or feedback when putting it on. The earpiece is very comfortable and the sound is excellent. In fact as good or even better than my more than triple cost aid. I was really nervous about ordering LifeEar. Now I kind of wish I had bought this before spending big bucks on my hearing aid. Should this LifeEar fail or malfunction I will be back to edit this review. Right now I am 100% happy.EDIT 8/8/2017 This inexpensive devise has now replaced the Oticon as my hearing helper of choice. The Oticon requires constant maintenance and quite frankly I like the LifeEar more. I will purchase another when the time comes.

The hearing aid has a lot of feedback noise, no a way to stop the noise even after rotating the microphone tip per factory specs. I'M GOING TO RETURN IT

I have been avoiding getting a hearing aid for some time....I wish I hadn't. I was immediately amazed at what I could now hear with it straight out of the box (install battery of course). I am so glad I final broke down and bough this item. Four stars since nothing is perfect!
